I see that the examples have been moved to subpages. The wiki's style is to leave the description on the trope page and use the {{examples on subpages}} template to point at the subpages, not to move the description to a category page.

Okay, looks like Geth manually moved the contents of the trope page into its category way back in 2014, predating that template and honestly a lot of our style requirements. If there was discussion about and agreement on the move, it's been lost since at least the Orain hack, since the empty page Disproportionate Retribution doesn't seem to have any surviving talk threads.
Several times in the last few months I've had much the same reaction -- why is that a category? -- and yeah, it doesn't make sense. I move to restore the trope page with the text now on the category.
