An index of characters that have appeared in the DC Animated Universe created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini. Mostly overlaps with the original comic books, but The DCAU is largely responsible for getting many viewers into these characters and helping them appreciate these timeless icons.

The DCAU is composed of Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, its Spin-Off series The Zeta Project, Static Shock, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited. No, not the animated Teen Titans, no matter what certain parts of Fan Dumb say.

Characters are listed in the series they first became important in.
