Alder

Jarod's subordinate. Dies protecting Jarod. He appears to be an armored knight of some sort, but never actually appears in battle.

Septimus

A Begnion general whose fear of laguz made him particularly memorable.

 

 Class: Lance General (RD)

 
  • Bait and Switch Boss: Appears to be the boss of the Part 3 Prologue, but runs away before your units can get close enough to attack him, leaving his subordinate to serve as the boss instead.
  • Dirty Coward: Runs away after a few turns in his first appearance, and his dialogue suggests that he doesn't want any part of any missions involving laguz.
    • In his second appearance, he'll try to run away from your party if you approach him.
  • Large Ham: “The beasts....the beasts wish to...CONSUME me!”
  • Racist Villain: Usually refers to the laguz as "beasts", although if you fight him with a laguz, he'll refer to them as "sub-humans" and "mongrels".
  • Recurring Boss: Sort of. He runs away as soon as your army gets close in his first appearance, only to serve as the boss eight chapters later.

Levail (Rubale)

 

A young and idealistic general who used to lead Lekain's army, but chose to abandon him in favor of serving Zelgius. Fights the rest of the army while Ike is going one-on-one with Zelgius.

 

 Class: Sentinel (RD)

 
  • Anti-Villain: Type I or Type IV. Chooses Zelgius over his former master Lekain because he disapproves of the Senate's actions and considers Zelgius the "last true knight".
  • Badass
  • Bishounen: Which Oliver will cheerfully comment on.
  • Blade on a Stick: Wields the best lance in the game and is a Sentinel to boot, making him one of the few true third-tier enemies in the game.
    • Infinity Plus One Lance: The strongest Lance, the Wishblade. Formerly belonged to Bryce, and now is in Levail's hands for some reason.
  • Blond Guys Are Evil: Although he's not evil, he just has Undying Loyalty to the wrong guy.
  • The Dragon: To Zelgius.
  • Expy: They may not look a thing alike, but personality-wise he's pretty much a younger Bryce.
  • Hero Worshipper
  • Honour Before Reason: Won't attack the Herons, or anyone else who can't fight back, going so far as to tell them to run away.
    • He'll never try to attack Micaiah, because Zelgius didn't want her to be hurt. He won't retaliate even if she attacks him.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: His hero-worship of Zelgius, who cool factor aside is a pretty bad dude, what with being The Dragon to Ashnard and Sephiran.
  • My Master, Right or Wrong: If you battle him with Tanith, he states that he doesn't care about the goddess's agenda and serves only Zelgius.
  • Noble Demon
  • Noble Top Enforcer: Unlike Zelgius, Levail really does embody the Knight in Shining Armour archetype, refusing to attack anyone who can't fight back.
  • Older Hero vs. Younger Villain: The Younger Villain. Logically he has to be around Ike's age, making him younger than almost everyone in your party. Haar specifically notes this.
  • Optional Boss: The level ends once Ike defeats Zelgius, regardless of how the rest of his troops are doing with routing the army Levail leads.
  • Undying Loyalty: To General Zelgius
  • What Might Have Been: Unseen data shows that Levail has his own growth rates rather than using the defaults for his class, suggesting that he may have been recruitable at one point in time.
  • Worthy Opponent: Like his boss, he's always on the lookout for one.
