Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is the 46th president of the United States of America. He is one of only eight people who served as Vice President before serving as President (in his case, he served under Barack Obama), and only the second person (after Richard Nixon) to have served as a Senator and as Vice President before becoming President. He's also the oldest person to have been elected President of the United States of America.

As of March 2024, the 2024 presidential election has become a rerun of the 2020 election, with Biden and Trump both running for re-election. Both men are using the same campaign strategies that they used in their 2020 election campaigns.

Some editors would probably have some triumphant line of argument to add here in support or opposition of any of those, but they should know better.

Joe Biden provides examples of the following tropes:

Badass Grandpa: Biden is the oldest person to successfully run for US President, and did so despite suffering health problems.
Batman Gambit: House Speaker Kevin McCarthy seemed to believe his 2023 State of the Union Address was an attempt to humiliate the Republican Party by goading them into heckling him. If so, it was clearly a success.
Blatant Lies: His "shifting goalposts on schools", as AP called it in February 2017.
Didn't Think This Through: His tendency to make verbal gaffes tends to make for some statements that probably needed some more thought put into them.
I Am the Noun: Biden declared he was the Democratic Party (at least in that moment) to Donald Trump during the CBS debate in 2020. Star Wars jokes flew off the shelves of 4chan that day, and from YouTube when the highlight was posted there.
Our Presidents Are Different: President Personable is the default for most fictional depictions, largely based on his real-life attitude in public.
Papa Wolf: When the investigation into his son Hunter Biden was taking place, Joe responded both aggressively and defensively to criticism of Hunter. Reacting to scrutiny or criticism of his sons is one of the rare situations where Biden has publicly expressed anger.
Running Gag: Has joined the list of presidents who have had mishaps with the stairs of Air Force One, a "gag" that goes back to Gerald Ford.
Screw the Money, I Have Rules: Invoked. He has gone on record believing excessive wealth leads to corruption, and publicly advocated for campaign reform laws.
Self-Deprecation: Has described himself as a "gaffe machine".
Speech Impediment: The Other Wiki notes that Biden has a self-admitted stuttering problem, which has garbled or otherwise caused him to fumble some of his spoken remarks.
Trademark Favorite Food: Ice Cream is a is a Trademark Favorite Dessert. Specifically chocolate chip ice cream in a waffle cone according to the Columbus Dispatch. Eater noted a quote of him saying:

I don't drink. I don't smoke. But I eat a lot of ice cream.
