Discography:
- hello, world (2019)
Kizuna AI provides examples of the following tropes:
- Character Celebrity Endorsement:
- Some of her Let's Plays are sponsored (like in the "includes paid promotion" disclaimer of this video).
- In her "Self-Introduction", Ai shares her wish of being on TV:
"Maybe some day, I will be in a commercial! Don't famous Youtubers usually show up in commercials? I want to be famous like them!" |
- Girls Are Really Scared of Horror Movies: Ai freaked out during playthroughs of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
- Gold Digger: In "Face? Body? Money? Looking for the ideal virtual partner!"
- Groper Girl: Kizuna AI is not only a super intelligent AI but a super perverted one as well.
- Hair Decorations: Has a head ribbon on her head.
- Know-Nothing Know-It-All: Ai thinks she is a "super-intelligent AI", but she can be really dumb at times. For example, when playing Quick, Draw!, she thought "suitcase" and "trombone" meant "sweet corn". This is particularly apparent when she attempts to work with English, making very basic mistakes before congratulating herself on how close she was.
- Old Shame: Invoked In-Universe. In Ep. 6 of her Doki Doki Literature Club playthrough, AI strongly disagrees with doing a poetry presentation for the school festival, saying it would be embarassing to see the girls read cringeworthy poems (in her opinion) for other students because, according to her, 1) some of them would most likely be in your college and would remember the performance (AI takes embarrassment very seriously) and 2) these novice-tier poems are the exact kind of writing that a person would regret writing as they grow older. She relents in the end "for the sake of the club".
- Perverted Drooling: Featured in the thumbnails for "Lovely My Angel Descent" and "The Pinnacle of Ass, Grand Exhibition".
- Running Gag:
- In her Doki Doki Literature Club playthrough, AI misreading kanji when reading poems and the captions correcting her every time.
- (Ep 6) AI saying "I'll be your beach~!" (from a poem by Natsuki) when reading other poems.
- Shout-Out: Many from her Doki Doki Literature Club playthrough, including obscure references to Japanese songs.
- In Ep 4, when AI sees Natsuki reading Yuri's poem, she says "Natsukichi! Don't get upset, Natsukichi!" The nickname is a reference to The idolm@ster Cinderella Girls' Kimura Natsuki, who has the same nickname.
- AI calls Sayori "Sayoringo", a play on Nogizaka46 member Sayuri Matsumura's nickname.
- In Ep 6, when seeing Monika's third poem, AI recites "Zenzenzense", one of Your Name's theme songs.
- In Ep 7, when visiting Sayori, AI jokes about knocking the door in rhythm and hums "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" from Frozen.
- In Ep 8, the line is repeated by AI, but with fear in her voice, right before the most infamous scene of the game.
- In Ep 9-2, when she thinks Yuri loves the main character, AI sings a part of "CHE.R.RY" by Yui. She sings the part again in Ep 10.
- Sir Swearsalot: She's fascinated by the phrase "fuck you" and is fond of repeating it she hears it in English voice tracks. Possibly Innocent Swearing with how bad her English is.
- Stepford Smiler: Discussed in Ep 6 of her Doki Doki Literature Club playthrough:
"You know, about kids like Sayori-chan, no matter what happens, they always say "I'm okay, I'm okay!" and just laugh it off with "Eheheheh", but because they say that, you worry about them." |
- Two-Part Episode: Ep 9 of her Doki Doki Literature Club playthrough is split into two parts.
- Vapor Wear: Points out that, as data, she's technically naked and has no panties to show.
