Okay, so you found a dead body. It seems to died in some kind of matter. What do you do it? Report to the police or family of the deceased. NOPE, in this trope, you steal from the dead, it's not like anyone is going to find out. In this trope, a dead body is found unattended with some goods to be had. After checking, you resort to scavenging on the body for anything of value or use.

NOT TO BE MISTAKEN FOR Grave Robbing, that's stealing the actually corpse or parts.
