I suggest we use this picture https://allthetropes.orain.org/wiki/File:Pinkie%27s_Silly_Face.png for Mythology Gag. I have another like it, but with Rarity and Fluttershy looking at the face. But it is poorer quality, has an advertisement for the episode (since it was a trailer), and slightly smaller. Aside from that I choose this picture because you get to compare Pinkie's G4 face to the silly face resembling her G3 counter part. Source of image is My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

Well, you've clearly uploaded this image (and all the others) already. That's the majority of the work. The rest is simply putting the file markup in the page if it isn't already there. (And if it is, just change the file name!)

If you don't know what the file markup is, it looks like this:

[[File:filename.gif|link=Optional Page Name Here|frame|If you want a caption, put it here. You can code links into it in the usual way.]]

"Filename.gif" is the bare filename without path info. For the file in this particular thread, that would be:

Pinkie%27s_Silly_Face.png

The "Optional Page Name" part lets you specify a particular page the image will link to. Otherwise, clicking on the image will go to its own page on the wiki.

If you've got a particularly large image, replace "frame" with "thumb|350px". That turns the image into a thumbnail 350 pixels wide; you can change that number to whatever's necessary for the picture to look good, but I'd suggest keeping it at 400 or below.

Is there an easier way to do it using the picture icon in the edit window?

Not that I'm aware of. There may be a gadget somewhere in the toolbox of stuff we have installed that might allow that, but I won't swear to it; check the Gadgets tab on your Preferences to see what's available to you.

Can't say I understand the issue, though. A bare minimum file link is going to be, what, about 50 characters if you forgo a link and a caption, and don't need to thumbnail? Is it really so much trouble to type that much?

Its more about learning (or not learning) the notation than typing it. The picture icon seems to be intended for it, based on what I see when I click on it, but it doesn't seem to work. I figured it out. Also the picture Icon works great now, I don't know what I was doing earlier.

So what are we going to use for the caption?

I dunno. Feel free to insert whatever seems most appropriate.

So the picture has been added, and it is linked to My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic (Animation) as that is the series it is from. But I was thinking of changing the link to be to My Little Pony, which is the franchise it is from. The reason for the change would be is a link to the franchise would be more broad, covering both the series the picture comes from and the source of the reference. Are you for the changing what the link is to or against it? (if you don't care and you want to let us know that is fine too)
