Someone >literally< becomes Too Dumb To Live? As in dying from "intelligence reduction" (e.g. the ever-relevant mindflayer)?
What would you call something like that so that we could properly distinguish it from this trope?

Death by Literal Stupidity?
In the game Castle of the Winds, you could die if your intelligence points were drained to critically low levels, so in that case, stupidity killing you would be quite literal.
IRL, past a certain drop in brain function, a human being is effectively a lump of flesh that may be clinically alive, but is pretty much unable to function as an intelligent, sapient being.
Yeah, most of the examples I can think of are based on Stat Death or else clinical examples like the latter (which would probably benefit from not being referred to as stupidity). I know it's a thing but I just can't settle on a name...
