Topic on Talk:Genghis Khan

The page's current image (which we inherited from TV Tropes at the fork) has been removed from Commons for copyright violation. It's also obviously modern artwork, and it plays to the stereotype.

There's a perfectly good non-stereotypical confirmed-public-domain portrait of him, painted approximately one century after his death, on Commons: File:Genghis Khan.jpg.

Should we change the page image?

Yes.

And I know that @Looney Toons has said in the past that we should switch to PD artwork where possible... so I'm changing the image.
