Hello, and welcome to All The Tropes.

As our current news banner says about edits waiting for moderation,

Please be patient - this moderation can take up to a day to happen (or more, if there are significant issues with a proposed edit, or if there are no moderators available).

There were moderators available to approve your edit to Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy. However, there were so many issues with what the edit did to the formatting of the article that we had to wait until there was nothing more pressing to deal with before approving your edit, so that we could immediately undo the formatting issues you introduced at the same time.

First and most importantly, as per the wiki's style guide:

If you're adding an entirely new example to an existing section, put it at the end of the section.

I moved your Enchanted example to the end of the Film section in accordance with this. I also added a link to the example's work page.

Second, you added unnecessary spaces to the ends of some lines. I have stripped those out.

Third, you stripped out a large number of spaces that other tropers had put into the page for readability purposes when using the source editor. I have restored those spaces. We know that the visual editor does this automatically, but the visual editor does not add unnecessary spaces to the ends of lines, so we also know that you used the source editor. I have restored as many of those spaces as I could; I think I got them all.

Which brings me to the less-pleasant part of this post: the part where I have to speak as a wiki moderator. You aren't in trouble - everyone is allowed one honest mistake. I do need to ask that you read the style guide before you edit again, though.

Please reply here so that the other moderators can see that you have read this message.

I don’t know how that happened.

Once is believable, twice is getting suspicious, just rejected another edit of yours with similar issues. Our rules are not meant to be flouted under the shield of ignorance, keep doing so and we will act as we deem fit to prevent future incidents, consider this a warning.

I am trying to use the visual editor.

It is obvious from your pending edits in the moderation queue that you have not yet done this.

I for one will not be approving your proposed edits, because of the problems which would not be present if you had read the Style Guide last week - one of which I specifically pointed out to you earlier in this very thread.

MOD: Read the style guide.

OK, I read it.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

Yet you failed to follow it - none of the edits you proposed after posting that comment, including the proposed edit that you submitted while I was typing this notice, conform to the Style Guide.

This is an official warning: Fail to follow the Style Guide one more time and you will be temporarily blocked from editing this wiki, in accordance with the other link that I provided to you in the very first post in this thread.

And, yes, this applies to both your @Crazymonkey account and your @Happybirthday account. Some of us write and edit for a living; it's blatantly obvious to professional editors that you have been using both accounts at the same time. Please note that if you use yet another account in order to continue attempting to edit while you are temporarily banned, the ban will be made permanent.

I just don’t know why that keeps happening.

Crazymonkey (talkcontribs)

I think it might be because I’m using an IPad.
