Sometime during the 90's after having a horror live-action/animated feature being hacked to death by the studios, Ralph Bakshi left the animation and decided to focus on a live-action feature. The movie is called Cool and the Crazy. To date, it has been noted that this is Ralph's first (and only) fully live-action feature, although he has been known for doing animated features with live action sequences, and even made a live action short film with Harvey Keitel prior to this. Cool and the Crazy is about an unhappy married couple in The Fifties while having separate affairs. This film was part of a series of films for Showtime's Rebel Highway, which showcased along with a few other films that took place in The Fifties.
