• Fake Brit: Mela Lee, who voices Tiki, is actually American.
• Fan Nickname:
  • "Buttons" for Lissa, as a result of her unusual hat.
    • Some refer to her dress as a "cage". It's actually a hoop skirt. Maybe she has low speed growth?
  • The masked man has been dubbed "Charth" in some circles.
  • "Edgey" for Virion, thanks to his pronounced resemblance to Miles Edgeworth.
  • Nintendo of America is now know as NoAholes by many. In the fan's eyes, they seem to really hate RPGs and didn't even bother getting the rights to localize New Mystery.
    • However, with the announcement of Fire Emblem: Awakening's US release, Nintendo of America has been redeemed, especially Reggie.
  • The game's downright bizarre renditions to Armour Knights, like Kellam, have been dubbed "Shellfish" or "Shellfish Knights".
  • "Google Chrom".
    • Also "Chrom-nom-nom" due to his adorkable supports, and his legions of fangirls who want to Glomp him.

  • "Waifu Emblem", due to Dating Sim Elements. It's a two-way street though, as this is used simultaneously as praise and as a Take That.
• Franchise Killer: It would've been this if the game sold fewer than a quarter million units (more in a retroactive sense; the game was expected to be the final game in the series and was developed as such). Thankfully, this was averted with a vengeance as, thanks to global sales, it became the best-selling title in the history of the franchise by an extremely wide margin.
• Killer App: It was reported in the UK that the bundle of Awakening and a limited edition 3DS XL made up about 30% of all 3DS XL sales the week it was released, and helped boost sales of the system 50% compared to the previous weeks.
• Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": Thanks to the SpotPass optional battles and paid DLC, 50 characters from Gaiden, Mystery of the Emblem, Genealogy of the Holy War, Thracia 776 and The Binding Blade are appearing in English for the first time ever in this game. Marth himself averts this, having previously appeared in Shadow Dragon.
• The Other Darrin: "Marth" is Yuu Kobayashi instead of Hikaru Midorikawa. This only makes the question of if "Marth" is the real deal or not all the more confusing.
