”Glad I could help.”

Mister Metokur (real name James Patrick O'Shaughnessy but colloquially goes by "Jim") who was formerly known as "Jim81jim", "GamesGoodMeBad", "BrightsideBob" and "The Internet Aristocrat", is a YouTuber/internet personality who focuses on chronicling and mocking the most bizarre, and downright insane individuals, movements, fandoms and general drama on the Internet. His videos contain detailed recounts on their antics and the events that often transpire around them, along with humorous observations and plenty of Deadpan Snarker.

Mister Metokur had five different shows before moving on to live streaming:

  • ’’Tumblrisms
  • ’’Internet Insanity’’
  • ’’The Hugbox Chronicles’’
  • ’’Deviants’’
  • ’'The /x/ Files

That said, many of his videos do not fall under any category but are still usually related to Internet drama or some individual who’s strange and outlandish behavior can generate some laughs.

Due to his controversial topics, behaviour and views he has been steadily kicked out from online platforms. His YouTube account while technically still active, has been mostly purged from its content, and the majority of his most recent videos were moved to Bitchute. By March 2020 he stopped producing all of his regular content and reduced his online activity to a bare minimum, and on August 30 of that year he revealed on his alternate Twitter account to have been diagnosed with Stage III Indolent Lymphoma.

Please note that Mister Metokur himself is a somewhat controversial figure, mainly due to the facts that his channel focuses primarily on mocking people, his ties to far-right extremists movements, and numerous questionable positions on transgender individuals. The Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment applies.

Mister Metokur provides examples of the following tropes:
  • Alliterative Family: Jim and Jade.
  • Alliterative Name: Mister Metokur.
  • Badass Baritone: Jim's trademark "radio voice" comes from a combination of his dry wit, his smooth presentation style, the years he's spent likely smoking a carton of cigarettes at least per day, and a preference for cheap, low quality USB microphones. You'd have to be a badass to have lived on the internet for as long as he has without so much as leaving any way to paint a target on your back, as so many of his video subjects have.
  • Berserk Button:
    • For the most part Jim maintains a chill, sardonic approach with his videos and is willing to joke about anything, even the most disgusting of topics. That said, if his intended topic involves children and more specifically the harm of children either physically, emotionally or sexually, he will drop that personality and won’t hold back any genuine anger.
    • Animal abuse is another one, especially when it’s being done for either sexual or sadistic purposes.
    • Those who attempt to censor others, especially under false pretenses or because their feelings got hurt.
    • People who try to strip away either his or others anonymity and the people who support it also gets under his skin.
  • Black and Gray Morality: While he tends to paint his targets as objectively monstrous and deserving of ridicule and scorn, Jim himself is a less-than-likeable individual with numerous ties to far-right and neo-fascist individuals.,
  • The Blank: His avatar is a chalk-white featureless man. In his "Internet Aristocrat" persona, it was a stock photo of a man wearing a powdered wig.
  • Body Horror: Used for shock value on a video he made dedicated to mock Transgender people, which included extremely graphic depictions of gender re-assignment surgery. The video itself caused YouTube to permanently declare Metokur's videos as hate speech, Patreon to terminate his account, and Twitter suspending his main account shortly after.
  • Caustic Critic: He’ll fall under this, depending who or what he’s talking. Metokur makes it no secret that he despises people like Ross, or the furry community, while people like Terry A. Davis he regards more with bemusement than anything.
  • Cerebus Rollercoaster: Due to the nature of his content, Jim's videos tend to oscillate between simply making fun of unpleasant individuals, to documenting (and mocking) people's actual slow descent into insanity, to condemning and ridiculing people accused of terrible crimes, to making critiques on society and political correctness, and so on. Really, the only consistent things throughout each of his videos is his vitriolic insults, his crass sense of humor, and his attention to detail when taking on a subject.
  • The Faceless: Does not show his face on any of his accounts, past and present.
  • The Gadfly: As someone whose content is centered around making fun of stupid people and poking them more when they inevitably get angry, Jim certainly qualifies.
  • Good Cop, Bad Cop:
    • Of sorts, when Ross appeared on The Morning Kumite after Mister Metokur’s third video on Ross, Tonka Saw plays the role of the good cop, while Mister Metokur plays the role of bad cop. Tonka Saw, while still be very harsh and critical towards Ross, is still the one who tries to reason with him and make him understand what he’s doing is wrong, while Mister Metokur ruthlessly mocks and ridicules him during the entire stream.
    • During the MundaneMatt Exposed Killstream (of which Metokur was a part of), Keemstar, Zidan, and Metokur all play the role of bad cop, while Ethan Ralph and James Allsup play the role of good cop. It also helps that the first half of the stream pretty much plays out like an interrogation.
  • It Amused Me: The prospect of a hearty laugh and a good time motivates Jim to his body of work in ways money never could. If he finds himself getting bored with a subject or feels someone else is better equipped to touch upon it than he is, he will find a way to gracefully bow out of his coverage of it and close out. As far as handling his fanbase's money is concerned, profiting off of his escapades comes a distant second if not dead last to using it as a means to [This example contains a TRIVIA entry. It should be moved to the TRIVIA tab.] try and stay motivated to anything he sets out to do.
  • Ill Boy: Jim's low constitution due to his "CancerAids" is infamous for being a major contributing factor to his tendency to procrastinate on any projects he vows to work on. It was revealed around late summer of 2020 on his third Twitter account that he's been dealing with stage 3 Indolent Lymphoma.
  • Let's Mock the Monsters: His modus operandi when dealing with horribly unpleasant people.
  • Nice Hat: His avatar wears a black cap with a "four stars out of five" symbol, which has one earphones with a mike attached.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Aside from either "Mister Metokur" or "Jim" his real name wasn't known for a long time, thus he was referred to by his pseudonyms.
  • OOC Is Serious Business: Mister Metokur's irreverent funnyman persona tends to be suppressed or outright dropped on exceptional occasions:
    • When he's dealing with particularly loathsome subjects. This is especially true when he talks about people who hurt/are dangerous towards children, wherein he often waffles between clearly trying to restrain himself and just straight up ranting angrily.
    • On the last livestream he made, dated March 2020, a week after the COVID-19 lockdowns were implemented and after spending the previous 3 months laughing and making fun of the outbreak when it was still localized in China, Jim is way more somber and not making many jokes throughout the stream, and he signs off by somberly wishing best of luck to everybody.
    • On the couple or so subsequent livestreams in which he made guest appearances during April-May 2020, he's noticeably more subdued and not as engaged in the banter as he is usually known to be. It was later revealed that his health was starting to decline more sharply at the time and he would be diagnosed with cancer a few months later.
  • Persona non Grata: Due to Jim's numerous videos mocking and criticizing transgender people (see Once-Acceptable Targets) and YouTube cracking down on content that is considered hate speech, Jim was more or less forced to take down all the videos from his channel and move to other sites, namely bitchute for his regular videos and dlive for his streams; his Patreon and main Twitter account were also banned for the same reason.
  • Properly Paranoid: Jim makes it unbreakable policy to never get personal with anyone or disclose personal details about himself over the internet. And while he'll share laughs and virtually break bread with anyone that's down to laugh with him; from fellow internet personalities to other outlandish entities like members of the Alt-Right; he makes it absolutely clear that he is no one's "Internet Fwend". And when you bare witness to absolute trainwrecks alongside Jim, such as the collapse of the Youtube Skeptic community or the downfall of nearly every major player behind Internet Bloodsports, can you really blame him?
  • Sarcasm Mode: Metokur has a tendency to make entire videos in this style when he comes across an individual/community who hold particularly bizarre, if not downright insane positions and ideas. His “Internet Insanity: Nick “Pedopoop” Bates” video is done entirely in this style.
  • Shown Their Work: Jim goes in extreme detail whenever he discusses someone he believes is worth talking about, and isn't afraid to comb through their video histories in order to get a clear picture on the whole story.
