- Hey, It's That Voice!: Gestalt might as well be called Darker Tales of Vesperia. Devola/Popola being Estelle, Kaine being Gauche, Nier being Duke, and Emil being Karol, oh, and Weiss is Cumore.
- Oh dear God, Lu Bu is a Papa Wolf, with a GIGANTIC TAGER!
- Grimoire Noir is voiced by Fumihiko Tachiki, better known as Kenpachi.

- Word of Gay: The creators confirmed Emil is in love with Nier during interviews. When asked if it might just be platonic, they outright insisted he's gay.
