- Fan Dumb: Whenever the crew criticizes a popular film (big examples include Watchmen, Where the Wild Things Are and Get Him to The Greek), the comment sections are usually filled with "Why didn't you give X a Y rating?!" See Product Placement on the main page as well.
- Scroll through the comments on the main Youtube page or any review, and see how many of them don't say "Why haven't you reviewed X movie (that's already been done on the site)?" or "Where's Carlyle?"
- Hilarious in Hindsight: As a passing joke in an early LEOG, Cyrus questioned if the Flash movie should be "Dark and Gritty". Recently he commented on a news article where they said that it was going to be just that.

- Memetic Badass: The Loading Bar's Skyrim character, Garfieldius, has quickly become a fan favorite, with requests constantly being made for them to do more playthroughs of the game. When given the option, Jason or Jeff will model an in-game character after Garfieldius.

- Never Live It Down: Carlyle's infamous "Communist Lion King" rant. Since Korey did not provide him with the chance, Carlyle could not explain to the audience that it was a joke until he wrote a blog post afterward. He still falls victim to jokes about this every now and then.
- Korey threw a chair! And he had sex with a vacuum cleaner. And he worked on [dead link] Space Jam!
- Cyrus also gave an okay review for Southland Tales.
- They Panned It, Now They Suck: As with other popular movie critics, the reviewers at Spill receive this every now and then for certain movie reviews.
- And of course recently this happened with Co-Host when he gave Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 a rental. Even that is nothing compared to Leon giving Inception a low Matinee. As Carlyle said when he heard about it:
