Super Robot Wars Original Generation

  • Instead of the Devil Gundam dispatching the Cry Wolves, it was a Jetzt Regisseur.
  • The scene where Cybuster first displays its power at Wake Island was pastiched from Super Robot Wars 2. Likewise, the scene with Lune Zoldark's debut is a replica of a similar event from Super Robot Wars 3.
  • Unlike Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden, the Machinery Children in Original Generation 2 are clones of Arado Balanga, not Egret Fehu.
  • For both Alpha Gaiden and Original Generation Gaiden, Shu Shirakawa is the True Final Boss. However, in the latter game, he blatantly states that he serves "Shiva Volkruss", instead of referring to it as "a being" for the former. Wild Mass Guessing ensues.
  • Rampage Ghost can be used with the Rein Weiss Ritter for the first time in Original Generation 2. In Super Robot Wars Impact, the player has a choice of either reverting the Rein Weiss Ritter to normal or keep it as it is but lose the Shin Getter Robo; doing the latter, however, gains Rampage Ghost for the normal Weiss Ritter and Alt Eisen Riese, something Original Generation doesn't have.
  • All pre-made Alpha protagonists became original characters in Original Generation. In the Alpha series, only Kusuha Mizuha and Brookyln "Bullet" Luckfield were ever given actual personalities.
  • Wild Falken and the Wild Wurger are based on the Alt Eisen and Weiss Ritter, respectively.
  • Backstory in Super Robot Wars Compact 3 loosely mentions another Heaven-class Shura God in the Shura Castle; it still remains in slumber by the end of Original Generation Gaiden.
  • In Real Life, the mechanical design of the Wildschwein is based off of an early mechanical design for the Huckebein. In-story, however, the Huckebein line was developed directly from the Wildschwein.

Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The Inspectors

  • In the first episode, aside from the SRX that Beowulf destroys, two other machines are seen. According to Word of God, they are the Grungust and the Wildraubtier.
    • The unit Bullet pilots in episode one is a mass-produced Wildschwein, as a result of all Huckebeins being Exiled From Continuity. Likewise, Ratsel Feinschmecker's "Guarbein" MK III Trombe in episode nine is a mish-mash of the Huckebein MK III and his Guarlion Custom.
  • "Fairy Dang-Sing" heard in episode ten is the first time since Alpha that a character's Leitmotif is given official lyrics. Current SRW series producer Takenobu Terada wrote the words to the song, with Latooni Subbota and Shine Hausen's voice actresses singing it.
    • In the same episode, Archibald Grims' Super Robot Gravilion is a case of What Could Have Been: the animated staff states the Gravilion was originally going to be in the first game as an enemy unit for the Divine Crusaders, but this was dropped during development. Eventually, they decided to bring it into The Inspectors to showcase the Neo Divine Crusaders having access to exotic, Super Robots other than the Valsion Custom in Divine Wars.
  • In episode nineteen, the voices of the RyuOhKi and KoOhKi are Masami Obari and current SRW series producer Takenobu Terada, respectively. This marks the first time the Choukijin are voiced.
