Tired and Wired (We Ruin Too Easy) is a Band of Brothers/The Pacific/Generation Kill Crossover college AU Slash Fic. It is written by softshinythings, whose tumblr contains much Bonus Material, including a separate Texts From Last Night tumblr.
It has a dedicated following among the so-called "HBO War Fandom" on Tumblr, and just recently got its own wiki.
This Fanfic contains examples of:
- Abusive Parents: Nate's father after he found out Nate was gay.
- The Alcoholic: Nixon, as per canon. Snafu's father, also.
- Arc Welding: With the author's "Hearts 'Verse" future fic.
- Friendless Background: Roe, much to Babe's surprise.
- Heterosexual Life Partners: Muck and Malarkey. Maybe.
- I Have No Son: Webster's parents, after he comes out. Nate's father.
- Ill Girl: Leckie's sister.
- Killed Off for Real: John Julian and Cassie, Leckie's little sister.

- Motor Mouth: Ray, even more so than his canon counterpart.

- Vitriolic Best Buds: Brad and Ray at times, depending on what Ray's doing.
