Sorry if it made it look like that was targeted at you, QS. It was targeted at Geth who should have known better. LEGOs are a trigger warning for me with regards to tropes, since so much of the criticism about troping wikis in general is that the storytelling coming out of our wikizens tends to be formulaic and disjointed. And that simply assembling tropes together does not make for good storytelling. The Mechanics of Writing section is supposed to address a lot of that, once it gets going.
Anyway, yeah, our current logo is not amazing, if for no other reason than both of our early contributors made draft logos, and then never found the time/interest to revive them.
@Geth: For some reason, I think we should have an infinity symbol in a black star. That is to say, different Unfortunate Implications, because it totally seems like a villain thing to do. Maybe we are the villains -- Fighteer seems to think so.
I think the only ideas we had in the the old thread centered around skeuomorphism around media types -- books, film reels, projectors, boob tubes, comic paperbacks, anime magical girl wands, tabletop gaming swords, etc. The only other idea is to choose something more abstract, like the bike circle logo of Davis Wiki, or the multiple crescent moons of JQuery. Sorry, but I'm not much help on those ideas.
