Mountain of Faith

• The Aki Sisters have pretty cool themes with A God That Misses People ~ Romantic Fall and Because Princess Inada Is Scolding Me, and COOL&CREATE turns the cheerful song into something heart-rending.
• The Stage 2 theme, The Road of the Apotropaic God ~ Dark Road is definitely memorable, and not just for expanding one's vocabulary.
  • This version by Hachimitsu-Kumasan is almost the complete opposite in mood to the original, but works stunningly well regardless.
  • A vocal version by Alstroemeria Records, the same group that made the Bad Apple! vocal remix.
• Dark Side of Fate, Hina's theme, has a good, fast-paced tempo, and really invokes the mental image of a spinning Hina.
  • Team Nekokan, the crew who did one of the more well-known arranges of Airman ga Taosenai, also arranged this theme.
  • Both of Hina's themes are given a severe saccharine injection with Miracle Hinacle, and the world is much more blessed thanks to it.
  • Am I the only who thought the EWI version was pretty catchy, despite being short?
• The Gensokyo the Gods Loved, the stage 3 theme, is sometimes called the most beautiful stage theme in the series and the theme of Gensokyo itself.
  • Both Virus Key and NeutraL somehow manage to make it even more beautiful.
  • Ahem.
  • Let's not forget this piano version.
  • Now in jazz
  • "We never die 'till the dream has come true! This is the war that we are going to! Carry on and on! Carry on and on! We will fight to Save This Land!"
  • SYNC.ART'S, with the collaboration of Tamari, BB, and TAMUSIC gives us the remix of this theme.
  • How incredible is this theme? Incredible enough that the makers of this spectacular fanvid found a vocal version worthy enough to be included. Enjoy the full version of this vocal masterpiece.
  • One more wonderful piece by ARA, best described as Touhou meets Studio Ghibli.
• The stage 3 boss theme, Akutagawa Ryuunosuke's "Kappa" ~ Candid Friend, is memorable enough to have been chose as the source of a an fanmade anime opening of Mountain of Faith.
  • IOSYS' remix of Nitori's theme contains dangerous levels of cute, catchiness, and cucumbers, while COOL&CREATE's rendition fills it with sadness.
    • COOL&CREATE's The Broken Youkai who Loved a Human is even more sad to listen to with the English subtitles.
  • Optical Cellophane is just as catchy (with lyrics).
  • And then this take on IOSYS' track takes what was cute and sweet and turns it into unadulterated Nightmare Fuel ripped straight from an H.P. Lovecraft book.

• While it seems to be overlooked compared to the Stage 3 theme, Stage 4's Fall of Fall ~ Autumnal Waterfall is just as stellar.

• Aya's theme from Mountain of Faith: The Youkai Mountain ~ Mysterious Mountain. Also, here's Demetori`s rock remix.

  • Floating Cloud Acoustic Band give the folklore-heavy tone of MoF the treatment it deserves.
• This rendition of Sanae's stage theme (The Primal Scene of Japan the Girl Saw ) is beautiful.
  • Splendid Encount by SYNC.ART'S is wonderful to hear.
  • Another one by SYNC.ART'S deserves a mention. It is upbeat that could make the sound waves go rave.
  • This Irish rendition is also worthy of praise.
  • As does this orchestra version by SOUND HOLIC.
  • Another awesome version brings us an awesome combo of vocal and instruments.
  • This version which is equipped with a live action PV has all it takes to make a Good Girl Spark!
• Sanae brings us Faith is for the Transient People.
  • One of IRON ATTACK!'s vocalists helped to make Rain in Vain a piece to remember.
  • The notable thing about Faith is that it makes a natural rocking beat, ideal for METAL remixes. Did you know that IOSYS's Pray can make it sound like a lullaby (which Kanako and/or Suwako may have used to help a little Sanae sleep)?
  • Apparently, TAMusic figured out the same trick IOSYS did, and made Faith sound even sadder.
  • This remix of Faith by Neutral is just wonderful.
  • Demetori's got us covered here too, and it gets even more awesome when someone charts the drums to Rock Band 2 with undeniable skill.
  • And NeutraL does it again to Faith in a sort of Spaghetti Western style right here.
  • This version by Lime Green is notable for its style.
• Kanako-sama is displeased that no one so far has mentioned her stage theme Cemetery of Onbashira ~ Grave of Being, which is possibly the most epic stage theme in the series. And since Demetori can make anything awesome, here is his rendition of Grave of Being.
• The Venerable Ancient Battlefield ~ Suwa Foughten Field can carry players through their countless attempts to finally capture "Virtue of Wind God". Good luck!
  • Kanako is officially pissed that absolutely nobody has mentioned 'Sound Sepher's Arrange of this song
  • Demetori's Suwa Foughten Field / Jehovah's Yahveh is probably one of the best ways to listen to Suwa's Foughten Field on Lunatic. After all, what better suits a god than EPIC SPEED METAL?
  • Once more, O-Life Japan delivers with great feeling.
  • Virus Key does it again, with a bonus The Gods Give Us Blessed Rain ~ Sylphid Dream at the end.
  • Tutti Sound combines her theme with Grave of Being and a face-melting chorus for a result that can only be described as divine.
  • Last Moments from NJK Records combines the awesomeness of Touhou musics with Eurobeat. Warning: Never play this song while driving.
  • And we have a remix of it mixed with a tad bit of Bach.
• The Extra stage music, Tomorrow will be Special; Yesterday was Not, is a strong contender for best stage theme in the series.
• This troper finds that, songs already on this list aside, he keeps coming back to Suwako's theme, Native Faith, for its cheerfulness and remixes.
  • After hearing of Suwako's desire to have her as a snack, Cirno has issued this rebuttal.
  • O-life Japan continues to amaze with their own version of Native Faith.
  • This techno remix by Rolling Contact is pretty awesome in its own right.
  • Native Face by Cross Gear is what you get when you mix Native Faith, and The Gensokyo The Gods Loved. In other words, PURE FUCKING AWESOME.
  • Don't ask me how a chiptune/dnb mix of Native Faith works, but believe me, it does.
• And now, people, we have Touhou Gregorian Chants! Yes, really... There is NO music genre, which was NOT used by Touhou fandom seemingly!

Scarlet Weather Rhapsody

• The game's versions of Locked Girl and Septet for the Dead Princess are good examples.
  • As is the fast paced version of Lunatic Eyes ~ Invisible Full Moon the game provides, at least to this troper.
  • Marisa rocks out with Vessel of Stars ~ Casket of Star, which ranks as one of her most Badass themes.
  • Let's not overlook Sakuya's Flowering Night.
  • Youmu's Hiroari Shoots a Strange Bird ~ Till When?, even though it sounds much more playful, still proves to be a good remix.
• The main title theme, Sky of Scarlet Perception is such a ridiculously epic piece of music for a video game that it isn't even funny.
• The Ground's Color is Yellow, the theme of the destroyed Hakurei Shrine. A wild, frantic tune with some amazing violin-work, perfect for a fight amidst changing weather.
• Crimson in the Black Sea ~ Legendary Fish is pure classic ZUN and makes Iku's oar-fishy awesomeness apparent.
  • IOSYS' arrange of Iku's theme, Saturday Night Fish Girl, will make you want to bust out the disco ball and dance along.
  • O-LIFE JAPAN's Iku-san Should be Fever is the funkiest Touhou remix of them all.
• Bhava-agra As Seen Through a Child's Mind (Tenshi's Last Spell theme music) is amazing for so many reasons.
  • =NeutraL='s remix of it may evoke strange feelings of pity for the celestial brat.
  • Wow wow wow, wait a sec. No love for Catastrophe in Bhava-agra? That one is quite badass too.
  • And then we have SOUND HOLIC'S Heartquake Super Shock. Aw man! It is so made of epic win! Now we have a PV version. GO TENSHI!!!
    • It seems O-Life Japan has granted us this playful, yet somewhat strange, remix
• Skies Beyond the Clouds and Flawless Clothing of the Celestials, Iku and Tenshi's pre-battle themes repsectively, are just as good, if not better, than their actual themes
• Much like the title theme, the credits theme, Oriental Sky of Scarlet Perception is ridiculously epic for what it's set to.
• Yukari's theme, Night Falls ~ Evening Star, is a fastpaced and crazy remix of her Immaterial and Missing Power theme that seems fitting for someone who would attack you with a surprise train.

Subterranean Animism

• The Stage 1 music, The Dark Blowhole.
• The Sealed-Away Youkai ~ Lost Place. Why someone has forgotten the Yamame's theme?
  • C-CLAYS certainly didn't forget it, creating an almost unrecognisable, yet SPECTACULAR vocal version.
  • O-Life Japan definitely delivers with their rendition of an already awesome song.
  • Here is a nice Piano arrange here by PIROPARU.
• The Bridge People No Longer Cross, the theme of Parsee's stage, as well as her main theme, Green-Eyed Jealousy -- the combination of a simple melody and complex music works towards a more subtle awesome.
  • And one group made an absolutely beautiful classical arrangement.
  • Isn't it sad, Parsee?
  • Here is a rather melancholic musical box version.
  • Mizuhashi's Jealoussic Park. Insane to sing along to, but funny as hell.
  • Naturally, TAM provides his own contribution. The first one is of his usual quality, and the second (beginning at 6:10) transcends even that, creating instant floods of tears.
  • Liz Triangle's version is expectedly beautiful.
  • These two piano pieces, one for each of Parsee's themes, capture her character perfectly.
• The stage 3 theme Walking the Streets of a Former Hell.
  • A good remix of that stage theme.
  • Another excellent version by O-Life Japan.
• Where's the love for Yuugi's theme, A Flower-Studded Sake Dish on Mt. Ooe? It's very proud, boisterous and adventurous, perfectly fitting "Yuugi the Strong".
  • And of course, Neutral delivers.
• Scarlatto di Levante made an excellent arrange of Heartfelt Fancy, the Stage 4 theme.
  • IOSYS allows Satori, The Girl Who Knew Too Much to explain her side of the story.
  • And Conagusuri gives us Inori no Me~3rd EYE=Sad Eye.
• Satori Maiden ~ 3rd eye reminds us so much of the games of our youth.
  • There is even an 8-bit version of it!
  • This vocal rendition is excellent.
  • Marquis de 3rd is a great, done by Sound Holic, with 3L doing amazing vocals.
  • ReSoundWave struck gold here
  • Unlucky Morpheus gives Satori's theme a memorable vocal twist with Perverseness.
  • This particular rendition by adany of FENNEL SEED is a must-hear.
  • 3rd eye is sometimes described as the most sinister of ZUN's music. This arrange by Tutti Sound is damn strong evidence for such a claim.
  • In another example of "Touhou crosses with anything", the circle Dangerous Mezashi Cat brings us a 3rd Eye HOEDOWN!
• Lullaby of Deserted Hell, the theme for stage 5.
  • A! of the circle Dangerous Mezashi Cat gives us the incredibly awesome Apocalypse Now.
  • Momori of SYNC ART'S lends her voice towards making Tod Und Feuer a most memorable vocal mix of this stage theme.
  • Lily-an also lends her amazing voice for another unforgettable vocal rendition of Lullaby.
  • And for those who prefer an awesome orchestral treatment, Scarlatto di Levante has you covered.
  • This remix is absolutly godly.
  • Who says that metal doesn't go with slow and peaceful songs? Here's Ruins in Hell, by IRON ATTACK!!, which sounds really awesome.
  • If this soothing yet heartfelt traditional version, with or without vocal by Drop doesn't sooth one's restless soul, nothing will

• • Another arrange that gained some attention: Prominence from Sound Online. This one kicks ass. And how a better way of kicking more ass than with this video: The Subterranean Prominence?
• The final stage theme, Hellfire Mantle, is pretty impressive too, though it doesn't get very much attention due to the misfortune of her actual boss theme being one of the series' most popular. It does, however, still get a few fantastic remixes, such as this one and this one, fit to be played behind even the most epic of fights to the death.
  • It also has been remixed into this heartwarming and beautiful piece. It's amazing what some of these remixers can do to completely reverse a song's mood.
  • Flame of the Quietness turns Utsuho's stage theme into something that wouldn't be out of place in a movie trailer.
  • No love for Hardcore?
• If Sun Worship of Gnosis ~ Nuclear Fusion doesn't make you think of epic battles with giant nuke-bullets, nothing will.
  • This remix of Utsuho's theme are even more epic. It even has the CAUTION! CAUTION! warning sirens!
  • O-Life Japan's first attempt at Nuclear Fusion sure sounds like a party in hell! Their second rendition, from their album Ishuu Gensyoko, has even better sirens that'll likely take your breath away when they start blaring.
  • IRON ATTACK!'s Blast from the Sun will make your speakers reach critical mass.
  • Yet another brilliant, klaxon-blaring remix, this time by xi-on.
  • Scarlatto di Levante gives us Gnosis the Heliolatry, a very well done classical arrange of Utsuho's theme.
  • On the cute scale of things, Unyutei mixes Okuu's nuclear beat with the remix theme USATEI.
  • One wouldn't think that such an intense, highly aggressive song could translate so beautifully into a vocal arrangement, but CYTOKINE has done this with magnificence. Aki's hauntingly powerful voice wistfully details a descent from awe and innocence into fear and destruction at the hands of revolutionary power.
  • There's also this, used in the greatest rendition of spellcard combat in existence.
    • On the subject of Touhou 3D Dog Fight, Flames Within These Black Feathers is a perfect Image Song for Utsuho.

• Koishi's stage theme, Last Remote, is one of the very best Extra Stage themes in Touhou.
  • NeutraL does a very cool arrange of Last Remote that would be right at home in their DARKNESS album.
  • COOL&CREATE lends their vocals to this awesome power metal arrange of Last Remote.
  • And then there's SOUND HOLIC and Nana Takahashi's "Highway to Heaven," which combines Last Remote and Sanae's theme into one very kickass arrange.
  • Ladies and Gentlemen, I hereby present you, Fantasy Kaleidoscope~Memories of Phantasm Part 2
  • Innocent Key's Josei no Qualia ~ Subterranean Rose is an epic vocal/gothic rock track with violins and Ethereal Choirs thrown in. It's even combined with parts of Hartmann's Youkai Girl below, and even has an animated Seinen PV full of Nightmare Fuel.
• Hartmann's Youkai Girl, Koishi's theme.
  • dBu always does good Touhou arranges, and their arrange of Hartmann's Youkai Girl, Demon Tale Sonata, is no exception.
  • This version done by KK Slider sounds pretty cool too.
  • Koishi's theme is noteworthy because of its symmetry - it sounds very similar if you play it backwards, but also infinitely more disturbing, sort of like a musical Uncanny Valley. As one person put it, it sounds like the sounds are being sucked out of your head.
  • A very claustrophobic sounding remix from O-Life Japan. Even when it goes quiet, it feels like she's gone into subconscious-mode.
  • This is a "Whole new look on Koishi's Theme"]] indeed.
  • The same theme, but arranged to sound like it belonged in the PC-98 era.

Undefined Fantastic Object

• UFO's first stage theme, At the End of Spring, sets the atmosphere for the entire game with its energetic, joyful, toe-tappingly catchy melody.
  • Dark PHOENiX arrangement.
  • Spring of Dreams from the Toho Euro Flash album is a delightfully catchy remix with Nazrin dancing playfully to the theme.
• A Tiny, Tiny, Clever Commander, Nazrin's theme and the best Stage 1 Boss theme in the series so far.
  • Here's the Dark PHOENiX arrange. Standard awesomeness disclaimer applies.
  • Pixeltune has made a really nice remix of Nazrin's theme, titled Recital for the Tiniest Commander.
  • IRON ATTACK! was inspired by Nazrin, and gave us A Little Magician.
  • This band gives us a wonderful rendition of it.
  • Probably the best remix of Nazrin's theme out there.
  • Don't neglect O-Life Japan's truly EPIC remix.
    • They managed to time stretch it (normally it's 3/4, but this remix is 4/4) without making it sound obvious, props to them!
  • Neutral2 also made a great remix.
  • A relaxing vocal version for your enjoyment.
• Tatara Kogasa would like to warn you to Beware Of The Umbrella Left There Forever!
  • This rendition gives her a touch of flamenco.
  • And this one by Unlucky Morpheus makes her rock the night out.
  • Liz-Triangle makes this song overflow with sweetness. Enjoy Now indeed!
  • Buta-Otome brings SHAFT-like visuals to the mix with touching lyrics and their own unique jazzy musical style with My Awaited Won't Come.
  • Rainy Stars by Kinema Kan is a beautiful song coupled with a great "Day in the Life" animation.
• The Stage 3 theme Sky Ruin has been really neglected by the fans so far, but O-life Japan has started remedying to this.
• The Traditional Old Man and the Stylish Girl, Kumoi Ichirin (and Unzan)'s theme deserves to be on this list. IRON ATTACK! cranks up their amps to bring us this remix, Arpeggio from High and Low.
  • Buta-Otome gives us a very stripped down, low jazz number that manages to find some serious power in the end.
  • This piano version is love at first note.
• The Stage 4 theme and Murasa's theme, Interdimensional Voyage of a Ghostly Passenger Ship and Captain Murasa deserves mention here, of course.
  • As well as Liz-Triangle's remix of both
  • Murasa is so badass, her theme is one of the few that gets a electric guitar on O-life Japan's latest album.
  • The circle XL Project and singer Mintea give us the beautiful and awesome Starmine.
  • Virus Key gives us The Pirates of Gensoukyou. Today will be the day you almost caught Captain Murasa Minamitsu!
  • Here is a sexy remix of Murasa's stage theme from Dark PHOENIX.
  • Morrigan and WAVE deliver yet again with Pirates of the Galaxy.
  • Pizuya's Cell metals the ever-loving hell out of Murasa's theme with CAPTAiN ZOMViE.
  • Here is a pretty badass vocal rendition by XL Project, which sounds like it should be in an anime.
• How could we not mention Rural Makai City Esoteria, the Stage 5 theme.
  • Awesome sync with in-game sound effects and spinning projectile movement. I cannot listen to the song without hearing the "vroom" sound effects somewhere mid-song.
  • O-Life Japan gives us a remix appropriately called The Universe's Great Leap Forward.
• Ah, but what about The Tiger Patterned Vaisravana, Shou's theme? I can't get enough of it~.
  • The thing that makes it such a perfect song is how well it fits in-game. Other boss songs have a sort of chaotic energy bordering on playfulness (one big marker of ZUN's composition style), but Shou's theme eminates pure, raw power. And she earns it.
  • dBu takes the song to even greater Power Levels.
  • Another epic rock remix by Takase
  • This remix transforms the song into a hymn of power straight out of the cosmos. The theremins are positively orgasmic.
  • O-Life Japan delivers, yet again.
• Behold, the stage 6 theme, Fires of Hokkai.
  • Lucid Dream from EastNewSound & Chata is amazing. Then again, much featuring Chata is.
• Emotional Skyscraper ~ Cosmic Mind, the final boss theme. Majestic and tragic, fitting Byakuren perfectly.
  • From the EWI series comes this masterpiece.
  • This remix by Sunpon is very beautiful yet driven.
  • Liz-Triangle's vocal of Byakuren's theme is wonderful.
  • Skyscraper by Pastry of BubbleRecords is another great piece based on Byakuren's theme.
  • Courtesy of C77, SYNC ART'S gives us Emotional Rule.
  • Combining this with her stage theme, Fires of Hokkai, brings us this mix by Gauche.
  • Star River proves that IOSYS has not lost their ability to make songs of incredible quality.
  • Here, have two amazing piano versions.
  • Demetori's metal version HAS to be listed.
  • As usual, Tutti Sound created an epic version worthy of the Youchrist.
  • Instead of making this theme even more booming, instead they softened it up with Skyscraper of Passion. It's one of there best mixes.
  • This orchestral masterpiece by Sound.AVE uses both Byakuren's stage and boss themes, and creates a relentless stream of eargasm.
  • Hydrangea by Sound Online made this troper cry in joy for the epic vocal remix.
  • It is almost insulting that the remix by 〜xi-on〜 hasn't been posted here yet, whose techno beats paint a lovely picture of a truly epic final battle with the most peaceful Touhou character of them all.
• The Extra Stage theme, UFO Romance in the Night Sky, is a very playful song, very befitting of its name and the concept of the Extra Stage as a search into the mystery behind the UFOs you've been seeing throughout the game. Noteworthy for containing a small sound effect which became known as a laughing youkai.
  • Of course, a piece about UFO's from a game nicknamed UFO just has to reference the best UFO movie of all time.
  • This idol style remix, brought to you by Sound Holic
• A flurry of remixes has hit the internet in the days following the release of UFO. Most of them were of Heian Alien, the Extra boss theme.
  • This arrangement is also pretty sweet.
  • And the comparisons between both Nue and Flandre have created this, so even MORE people can agree that U.F. Owen was her.
  • The circle Tutti Sound has recently come out with a purely awesome classical arrange of Nue's theme that has been described as "Mussorgsky meets ZUN meets Wagner."
  • Less awesome but still relevant is Dark Phoenix's contribution, sinister and secretive.
  • When I wish upon a star~
  • Crazy Xenomorph by Demetori.
  • How come Floating Darkness have escaped this list for so long?
  • Hierograph's remix is menacing and hectic, mixing both classic music and a bit of techno. I would say it remembers a very badass Pokémon game song (and yes, this a compliment).
  • This vocal version by C-CLAYS is horribly (in a good way) forceful and catchy.

Hisoutensoku, expanding on SWR

• Reimu's remixed spellcard theme, Mystic Oriental Love Consultation, is very Badass, and very Fatal KO-esque.
• Alice gets a throwback to her PC-98 days with the Grimoire of Alice.
• Sanae breaks out her old clubroom guitar to belt out a new version of her theme Faith Is For The Transient People.
• Utsuho brings along a nice remix of Sun Worship of Gnosis ~ Nuclear Fusion.
• Cirno receives a very jazzy remix.
• Meiling finally gets a Hot-Blooded arrangement of her theme along with her first true fighting game appearance (she was patched in to IaMP and didn't have a theme or story mode).
• There's the final boss theme of Story Mode, Unknown X ~ Unfound Adventure, which while being suitably lighthearted, is also pretty grand and fitting of a boss battle.
  • This version is even grander.
    • WOW and i thought it couldn't get any cooler!
• Suwako's Last Spell theme, The Floating Objects in the Sky X, is also amazing for the final battle high above in the skies of Gensokyo.
• The game's opening/menu theme, Did You See That Shadow?. A wonderful remix of Evening Sky from SWR. And it's so dramatic! (Fitting for the game's scenario, though!)
• There's also one of the Story mode cutscene themes, Our Hisou Tensoku. It's quite a shame actually that it's only a cutscene theme. It would be even better for the final battle than Unknown X ~ Unfound Adventure.
  • The full version is hands down the best piece in all the fighting games so far.
  • And now apparently it's a Giant Robot theme with 900% Hot Blood added.
  • Now with animation! Apparently the kappa have access to real-world entertainment, and are fans of Mazinger Z.
  • Swing Holic Band gave it a beautifully nostalgic feeling with Hisoutensoku For Justice.
• The staff roll theme, The Eternal Steam Engine, it sounds amazing.
  • A Huge Shadow and A Tiny Conclusion is basically a longer version of this remixed with Oriental Sky of Scarlet Perception, double the awesomeness.

Double Spoiler

• The haunting Bell of Avici ~Infinite Nightmare
  • ZUN's own remix from the CD Unknown Flower, Mesmerizing Journey.

Great Fairy Wars

• The Refrain of the Lovely Great War, the stage 1 theme. It has an inspiring beginning, but has a touch of silliness, obviously. The original came in the CD that was included with the vol.2 of Strange and Bright Natural Beauty. Look in the supplementary material section for more information.
• Year-Round Absorbed Curiosity, the stage 2 theme, uses the main theme song as base. As silly as the other melodies, but this one has a badass touch. An interesting melody, indeed. 藤宮 ゆき lends her voice to this vocal rendition that has a nice rocking beat to it.
  • セブンスヘブンMAXION's remix, yell☆shine☆dance!!, comes off like the Three Mischievous Fairies themselves are singing it.
• Staking Your Life on a Prank, the boss theme for stages 1 and 2. It's gotta be real hard to make a theme that both sounds cute and sounds like a boss theme.
• A Midnight Fairy Dance, the stage 3 theme. This is a jazzy and rhythmic melody, with a menacing touch, indicating that you're near to the final confrontation.
  • You are invited to a Midnight Fairy Party by Whi TECHNO.
• Great Fairy Wars ~ Fairy Wars, the final boss theme. Quite the epic tune, with just the right amount of silliness to remind us that these are faeries.
• Ruse Rain, the Extra Stage theme. This one has a dark, intense, and sinister feel to it, perfect for the prelude leading up to the fight against Marisa.
• Magus Night, yet another epic Marisa theme.

Youtuber: It's like it's saying: "You're fighting Marisa? What are you, stupid? ...nevermind."

• • MIDI Orchestral Arrange, not really a remix but does sound a bit more "witchy".

Youtuber: Sounds a hell of a lot more sinister and elegant with orchestral instruments..."

• • As usual, when things are remixed by dBu, it can only get more awesome.
  • Now IOSYS has remixed it. And it's AWESOME.
  • Rokugen Alice's metal version is made of yes and win.
  • The one used in Touhou Sky Arena, Sky of The Universe is defenitely epic. One of the best songs in a game full of many good Touhou Vocal Remix.
  • The version from Oriental Sacred Place vol.3's CD. That is all.
  • What we get when combine both Ruse Rain and Magus Magic together? SOUND HOLIC's KIRISAME DRIVE. The music was very hype as if Marisa's having her own concert like a certain character from Umineko no Naku Koro ni. Wonder if Marisa's going to do duet with Jessica

Ten Desires

• The first stage's theme, Night Cherry Blossoms of Dead Spirits is strikingly beautiful, especially the piano. You'd only expect to hear a piece like this during the final stages.
  • Touhou fandom, being Touhou fandom, composed some stunning arranges almost as soon as the demo was released, such as this piano version.
  • This rendition of the stage 1 theme was the first Ten Desires arrange to emerge from the Touhou fandom, having being released on the same day as the demo! Not to say that there is any compromise on quality at all.
  • And Conagusuri presents Sakura Infinite Friendship. Here's the Full version and the MiYAMO Remix Version and the Kirin Shining Summer Remix
• Yuyuko's new theme, Ghost Lead, is very frantic but also a bit playful. It's also the first theme to have ZUN's trumpets return, reminding everyone that Yuyuko is powerful, but she's just messing around and isn't really a true threat anymore.
• The second stage theme, Welcome to the Youkai Temple has a nice spunky beat, perfect for the mischievous spirit theme of the game.
• The second boss Kyouko's theme, Youkai Girl at the Gate, has nice music switches that fit a youkai of echoes.
  • Tomoya's piano version turns a cheerful piece into something sinister and mysterious.
• The third boss's theme, Rigid Paradise is the perfect theme for new girl Yoshika Miyako, who just happens to be a stiffly Jiangshi.
  • Have a listen to this extremely powerful remix of it.
  • A Metal arrange, from the guys of Demetori: Rigid Paradise ~ Dawn of the Dead. Powerful and interesting, to say the least.
  • This vocal arrange by IOSYS combines Rigid Paradise with Lady Gaga, and the result is perplexingly amazing.
• The third stage's theme also deserves a mention. Let's live in a wonderful cemetary sounds a bit strange when you first hear it, but fits surprisingly well and provides an enchanting atmosphere.
  • C-Clays turned "Wonderful Cemetary" into a country song, "Sweet Home".
• Ten Desires' soundtrack has two "layers" to it: the normal versions (as above), and the Spirit World versions, played when you enter the game's Trance Mode. Playing them both together makes the themes that bit more awesome.
• Desire Drive, the Stage 4 theme, is an upbeat tune that will make you want to dance. Or shoot down fairies and spirits while flying at high speeds through an underground tunnel.
  • It also translates to the PC-98 midi and NES quite well.
  • A surprisingly good remix changed the intense feel of the original into a somewhat relaxed feel.
  • This vocal remix keeps the intense tone but in a more lively way.
• And speaking of Stage 4, Seiga Kaku's theme, Old Yuanxian, has a fun, fast paced rhythm, perfect for the fight against her and Yoshika.
  • Its Trance version is as sinister as Satori's theme, if not more. You can feel raw wickedness in it.
• The Stage 5 theme Dream Palace Great Mausoleum. It's a more peaceful, soothing Stage 5 theme, but it's still a good theme.
• Mononobe no Futo's theme, Legend of The Great Gods. Not as intense as Seiga's theme, but it's still quite boss-like.
  • This remix of it by dBu adds a suitably mysterious and even more elegant feel to it.
• The Stage 6 theme Starry Sky of Small Desires. It's all DJ like, yet fitting for when you encounter Miko.
• Toyosatomimi no Miko's theme, Shoutoku Legend ~ True Administrator, starts off calm, then quickly picks up the pace and gradually turns into a song fitting of the final boss and ancient saint.
  • Hachimistu-Lemon remixed it into True Desire while somewhat preserving the atmosphere of the original song.
  • IOSYS finally gives us an excellent remix, Miracle Miko-tan is excellent, right?.
  • A masterpiece that captured the both the true majestic, epicness and grace of the final battle, brought to you by Jun.A of Sound Sepher! You may now proceed to wipe off your manly tears
  • What started out as a one-time joke for the beginning of this Walfas video led to enough public demand that Youtuber Spaztique created a full version of Dance Sign ~ Rave In The Divine Spirit Mausoleum.
• Mamizou Futatsuiwa's theme, Futatsuiwa from Sado, is very light, fun, and upbeat for an Extra Boss. Such a playful theme is fitting for what many believe to be a very goofy-looking Extra Boss, with very fun and... interesting spell cards.
  • And only a month after the game's release, Minami delivers with the very first rock arrange of Mamizou's stage theme Youkai Back Shrine Road.
  • Liz Triangle's version captures the playfulness perfectly, with lily-an's wonderful voice adding extra enjoyment.
  • FlanGoY takes his flute to Mamizou's theme with great effect.
