Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Did Not Do the Research: Discussed. In Best Video Game Music, Dunkey features a satirical take on a music list that feels overly "hip" (rap songs, Sonic songs, etc.) without much commentary. But then Dunkey criticises the main rap theme of Street Fighter III 3rd Strike for:
    • Referring to Street Fighter as a "blood war", even though blood has never explicitly been a feature of the games. The bloodied defeat sprites (from II) "don't fucking count," according to Dunkey.
    • Mentioning "The third of the third, prepare to die for", which Dunky interprets as a Take That to the fact that 3rd Strike is the third version of Street Fighter III by Capcom.
    • Referencing a Content Warning from Resident Evil, a Survival Horror game ("This contains scenes of violence and death"). At this point, Dunky is under the impression that the performer is rapping about Mortal Kombat.
    • Containing edgy lines that have nothing to do with Street Fighter:
      • "You're dealing with cold blooded assasinators [sic]. Decapitate your body, let it go for alligators." Street Fighter has never included gore in their gameplay.
      • "Step too close kid, you might get shot" Suggesting a gangsta-style execution in the context of a traditional fighting game is completely ludicrous. With that whole section, Dunkey has completely dismissed the rapper as a "fucking bozo."
  • Eight Deadly Words: Invoked in Arkham City Sucks:

"The story actually starts out really interesting and then, uh, something happens to the Penguin... and then Robin shows up- I don't care anymore.
I think what sucked me out the most is when I realized that Batman was an uncharismatic mental retard."

  • He Panned It, Now He Sucks: Don't likes JRPGs, says their stories are dumb and that turn-based combat is bad. Considers the speech patterns of the Nopons in the Xenoblade series to be the lowest form of storytelling. He isn't getting any new fans of that corner of gaming fandom, that is the best we can say about their reaction to his JRPG reviews.
  • It's Easy, So It Sucks:

"I wouldn't mind that Batman jumps around like a total asshole if the combat was engaging in any way whatsoever."
(Cut, with loud music, to Dunkey pressing the triangle button over and over as Batman effortlessly counters attacks made by mooks. This goes on for 25 seconds.)
