Fuuka Esumi is an elementary schoolgirl with a difference. She is 163cm tall and has the body of a university undergraduate. Naturally, this causes a lot of misunderstandings. Hilarity Ensues.

Please note that Yoiko contains frequent topless scenes involving the main (elementary school aged) character.

Tropes used in Yoiko include:

• A Date with Rosie Palms: It is implied that Jiro has had plenty of these.
• Fan Service
• Fetish Fuel Station Attendant: Fuuka has appeared as a Bunny Girl, in a bikini, in a towel, in leopard print lingerie and in the nude, and she isn't even trying to be sexy.
• Freud Was Right: Episode 3 has a cloud that looks like an erect penis. Also in episode 3, the scene cuts to a man digging up a daikon [a type of radish] during the Gag Penis jokes (see below.)
• Gag Boobs: While Fuuka's breasts are relatively small compared to the average for this trope, they are a focus for a lot of the anime's humor, including the teacher being envious of them.
• Gag Penis: Not even the male students are immune to the anime's perverted humor. Appears in episode 3.
• Innocent Fanservice Girl: Fuuka
• Names to Know in Anime:
  • Directed by Omori Takahiro, who went on to direct the anime adaptations of Baccano! and Durarara!!, amongst other things.
  • Daisuke Sakaguchi voices one of the schoolboys [Kenji]. He went on to voice Jacuzzi Splot, |Youhei Sunohara and Shinpachi Shimura.
• Refuge in Audacity: The only way you could possibly justify the fanservice and blue humor that this anime contains.
• Rule of Funny: One half of the reason why Fuuka looks older than she is.
• Rule of Sexy: The other half of the reason why Fuuka looks older than she is.
• Shower Scene: At the beginning of every episode.
