A Plot

Holly J is getting more and more worried about her symptoms. Googling her symptoms in the computer lab don't really help, in they actually make her more scared. Sav comes up and tells her that she needs to see a doctor about this. Holly J promises to go after her presentation at the work study. Before class, Holly J takes a whole bunch of medicine and drinks an energy drink. Chantay comes up and tells her to see a doctor as well, but Holly J isn't about to listen to her rival's advice. In class, Holly J can't focus on her presentation and when going to the projector, she faints and smashes her head against a table's edge. Ms. Oh and Chantay come running up, and even Holly J can't believe what happened.

Holly J is taken to the emergency room. While she's in bed, the doctor comes in the room and asks her about her symptoms (sore throat, fatique). He also warns against self-medicating. Holly J desperately wants to make her presentation later that afternoon, but the doctor won't allow it. He's running tests and doesn't want her to leave. The doctor leaves the room, and Holly J yanks out her IV and leaves for the work study. At the work study, Chantay wonders why the hell Holly J is there and tells her to go home. Holly J says she can't let her take all the credit and impress Grayson and Chantay says she's just giving her an out. Holly J says that she can get through this. When giving her presentation, Holly J starts off well but she starts to clutch her stomach and she tries soldier on but then she wets herself. Holly J is mortified, and Chatany quickly takes action and wraps her jacket around Holly J's waist and leads her out the building. She sits Holly J down on a park bench and hands Holly J her phone. Holly J then calls her mom to come get her and take her to the hospital -- something is wrong.

At the hospital, Holly J's with her mother. The doctor comes in with her test results. Her urinary system was comprised by strep infection leading to Glomerulonephritis. He asks her about her symptoms and Holly J confirms she's been feeling ill for awhile. The doctors warns her about not getting help for infections soon and the complications infected her kidneys which is why she wet herself. He says that they need to run dialysis to get things under control. Holly J is shocked -- she's really sick. While she's under dialysis, Councilor Grayson comes in and reassures her that everyone has setbacks and she can use someone though like her and Chantay on her team. Holly J is glad Chantay was there. Sav then comes in to visit her. He didn't know she was that sick, and he gives her flowers. He says he was worried about her but he knows she'll get better -- she's Holly J.

B Plot

Johnny is desperately trying to get Alli not to go to Vancouver. He's pleading over the phone, but Alli keeps arguing. She spent the night on a park bench, she'll be safe. Johnny threatens to call her brother, but Alli says he wouldn't dare. She's making a mistake. Alli says that Johnny was one of her mistakes and her parents can't get past them and she just wants to be herself. Johnny breathes deeply and tells her to call him when she gets there. Alli's waiting for her bus, when a bum comes up to her asking for change. Alli tells him she's running away and asks him for advice on how to live up there. The bum asks for her bag. Alli backs away and says no, but the bum then grabs it. Alli puts up a struggle but the bum yanks it away. Alli is distraught -- her ticket was in that bag.

Alli tearfully runs back to Toronto University and into Johnny's arms. She apologizes to Johnny and she wants to stay a few more days in order to figure out what to do next. Sav has a better idea -- she should come home. Alli then gazes at Sav, who's sitting in Johnny's room. Alli is furious, and Johnny says he couldn't let her go. Alli says that Sav is just going to drag her back to her parents but Sav says he won't. He begged his parents to let him go alone and he just wants to talk. He was mad, but he's so happy she's okay. Alli says she can't go back home, Sav doesn't know how she feels. Sav says that he does. He won't force her to come home and if she does, he has her back. He promises it will different. And if she decides to go somewhere else, just to tell him where. He leaves the room with Alli still crying.

Ssav returns home alone and tells his parents Alli's safe.. His father demands to know why he didn't bring Alli with him. Sav says this is the exact reason why he didn't bring her home. Whatever he and Alli do, it's not good enough for them. Mrs. Bhandari says she has a right to be angry. Sav says their anger is suffocating and that Alli is afraid. She's afraid that they're will come down on her even worse and how she can't be herself. And if they keep it up, and she comes home, she'll run away again. Sav walks upstairs leaving his parents stewing.

During dinner, the Bhandari's are eating in uncomfortable silence. Just then, there's a knock on the door. It's Alli. Alli apologizes for scaring them and her mom apologizes saying she didn't mean to make her feel unwelcome. Alli accuses them of giving up on her. Mr. Bhandari stars to yell but Alli says she made mistakes, it's a part of growing up. With Johnny, she realized all the wonders of university, but in order to get there, she needs to make it through two years at home as herself. She says she's not the little girl she used to be, but she's still good, she needs a chance to prove it. Mr. Bhandari is quiet and then says they been fighting for so long that they lost touch. The family needs a blank slate. He and her mother will try to understand her more, and Alli wants to change too. She suggest they talk to someone neutral, a therapist. Mr. Bhandari is hesitant to let a stranger in, but he accepts. Mrs. Bhandari says she is just so glad Alli is home and Alli hugs her. Mr. Bhandari then takes her hand in his.

The next day, Alli and Sav come down in their dress clothes. His father came them down, and he wants to surprise them with a family portrait. A family portrait of the new and improved Bhandari family. This is their blank slate. The family members smile for the camera and say "Bhandari!" as the flash goes off.

C Plot

Wesley is preparing his pogo stick for the record, but doesn't want to try it in front of the whole school. Dave says it's a huge chance to impress everyone and get the babes. Wesley says the whole stunt is about proving himself to his 11-year-old self. Dave tells him the event will be huge and that he can do it, but Wesley is nervous.

In the auditorium, a crowd is gathering to watch the world record attempt. Dave's the annoucer and emcees the event. Wesley is still nervous, but he catches the eye of a red-haired Grade10 Huge Schoolgirl. The girl smiles at him which makes him more nervous. Wesley pogos for a hour before his first break. During his break, the red-head (named Hannah) comes up and admires Wesley's stick. She spouts off knowledge about pogo-ing and give Wesley advice, to which he is grateful.

A few hours later, Wesley is still pogo-ing and is close to the record. The crowd is cheering him and so is Hannah. He then picks a bad moment to wave at the her, loses his balance and the record attempt. The next day, Wesley is upset that he blew the record. He let his 11-year-old self down: no car, no record, no girl. But then Hannah comes in and congratulates Wesley on his attempt. It was a bummer he sprained his wrist, she wanted to celebrate with him and hold his hand. Wesley completely misses his cue but Dave helps him out and Wesley asks Hannah out on a date to which she agrees. Wesley now has a girl before 16, one out of three ain't bad.
