- Awesome, Dear Boy: Jessica Alba got to star in the films because she had wanted to play a superhero since childhood.
- California Doubling: Most of the New York scenes were shot at Vancouver.
- Deleted Scene: A number of them reappeared in the extended cut.
- Doing It for the Art: After Michael Chiklis got the part of the Thing, he insisted on using make-up instead of motion capture, creating a more realistic experience.
- DVD Bonus Content: Featurettes featuring the cast and crew can be found on the DVDs.
- DVD Commentary:
- The cast commentary featured Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd and Michael Chiklis.
- The crew commentaries featured Tim Story and Avi Arad.
- Enforced Method Acting: Jessica Alba wasn’t a fan of stripping off, the reaction was real.
- Fake American: Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd played the American Reed Richards.
- Fake Nationality: Australian Julian McMahon played Romani Latverian Doctor Doom.
- Meaningful Release Date: It was originally supposed to be released on July 4, 2005, and early trailers played this up. However, its release date was shifted to four days later to prevent competition with War of the Worlds.
- Missing Trailer Scene: The first trailer shows Ned Cecil's original death scene where he gets electrocuted by Doom.
- Old Shame:
- Completely averted with Chiklis, who enjoyed playing as the Thing.
- Somewhat with Alba. She was happy to meet Cash Warren but didn't like Story's direction.
- Story admitted some things in his Storyverse films would have been different in a later decade.
- The Other Marty: Nicolas Cage got cast as Doctor Doom with some filming and concept art done but left during production.
- Romance on the Set: Jessica Alba met her future husband Cash Warren while filming in August 2004.
- Star-Making Role:
- The first film, Sin City and Into the Blue have made Jessica Alba a household name in cinema.
- Chris Evans got more roles thanks to these films.
- Throw It In: Chris Evans improvised most of his dialogue for the Human Torch.
- What Could Have Been:
- George Clooney, Hugh Jackman (turned down due to the X-Men franchise), Patrick Wilson and Brendan Fraser were considered to play Reed Richards. However, Jackman returned to play Wolverine as a cameo in the extended cut.
- Scarlett Johansson, Renee Zellweger, Kate Bosworth, Rachel McAdams, Elizabeth Banks and Keri Russell were all considered to play Sue Storm. Johannson and McAdams would later have roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- Paul Walker was considered to play Johnny Storm.
- Bruce Willis and James Gandolfini were considered to play Ben Grimm.
- Tim Robbins was considered to play Victor Von Doom.
