Health and Physical Education for 30-Year-Olds started as a guidebook for single men to meet and begin relationships with women. It includes colorful characters and some laughs. The manga adaptation by Rikako Inomoto started on the November/December 2010 issue of Comic Rex. In 2011, the book was adapted into an anime television series produced by Gathering and was broadcast in Japan on BS11 and Tokyo MX from April to June 2011.
Tropes used in Health and Physical Education for 30-Year-Olds include:
- Biggus Dickus: Implied with Daigorou in 10.
- Big Ol' Eyebrows: Andou-san.
- Different As Night and Day: Pii-chan and Kuu-chan.
- Dropped a Bridget On Him: This is how Macaron is introduced.
- Doctor Dolittle: Kuu-chan is shown to be able to talk to animals at the zoo in episode 9.
- Evolving Credits: The end credits show the main characters(?) walking toward each other, slightly older in each episode, starting from infancy.
- Gonk: Hoshi, who is, strangely, more sexually experienced than Imakawa.
- Hidden Depths: The normal looking Wada who works with Natsu is a Dominatrix.
- Ho Yay: Between Hayao and Macaron. Especially when Macaron is crossdressing.
- If It's You It's Okay: Hayao might feel this way about Macaron. He was willing to let Macaron have his first kiss before Natsu who he was dating.
- I Was Quite the Looker: Hayaos Landlord didn't look bad 50 years ago(Though we don't get to see his face).
- Keet: Macaron.

- Les Yay: Natsu and Pii-Chan. Pii-chan even takes Natsus first kiss.
- Papa Wolf: Hayaos Landlord is one to the virgins under his care. He even goes transforms when he senses that Hayaos virginity is being threatened.
- Shout-Out: The AK-Fields.
- A pink rabbit shows up in 10 that looks like another rabbit.
- In 6 Macaron slaps Hayao while they look like Sayla Mass and Amuro Ray. As well as Natsu activating her AK-Fields and turning into Venus.
- There have been a couple of shout outs to Manga/Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure.
- When Macaron and Hayao were about to kiss Macaron stops and tells Hayao what he was doing wrong as Lances stabbed Hayao.
- Shrinking Violet: Both of the main characters.
- This Loser Is You: Quite explicitly.
- Wholesome Crossdresser: Macaron. Daigorou and Pii-chan have done it as well.
