Good to Launch?

Seems a good enough launchpad.

Should it be made a spoilers off page? Seems to me that (almost?) every entry is going to entail spoiler marking otherwise.

Lequinni (talkcontribs)

Agreeing with GD883 in adding the "Spoilers Unmarked" to this trope, because even while some examples are marked, other may not be

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Yeah, I think it's launchable.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

I see that somebody has already added the Unmarked Spoilers tag.

Voting to launch.

Lequinni (talkcontribs)

Another launching vote from me.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Four "yes" votes in nine days, no "no" votes. Launching.

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Whoops I goofed. Left the editing page open during the launch and it seems that section was left in the workshop. IS there a way for me to delete that section?

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

I just opened the Workshop, and I don't see it.

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Odd. I'm going to purge the page if that's all right and transfer any changes to the launch. Also, thank you for launching it!

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Please wait until I report that I'm done pimping work pages. I'm correcting and updating entries as I do it, and I wouldn't want one or the other of us to undo the other's work.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

And I'm done with the launch, the pimping, and the editing.

Please people, make sure you're using the proper names of work pages for links, instead of redirects or disambiguation links. For instance, Arthur does not go to the animated series.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Ah, found your fragmentary page, JLaw. It didn't show up in the workshop because it doesn't have any categories. I'll look into merging your changes into the launched trope right now.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

And your changes have been merged into both the trope page and the Undertale page.

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Ahh thank you for the fix, and the clarification about Arthur. My apologies about that.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

It's always a good idea to check whatever you think is the link to the work or page you want. We have many redirects and disambiguation pages (much of the former thanks to TVT tropers who wouldn't check the real name or correct spelling of a work and using what they thought it was). And far too many works share names. Just use the search box in the upper right of every wiki page to look for the page name, and when it appears ctrl-click it to open it in a new tab. If it's a redirect, it'll (hopefully) get you to the right page. And if it's a disambiguation page, pick the right link from there. (And redlinks on a disambiguation page use the form we want the page name to have when it's finally created, so copy what they have if the work you want is redlinked.)

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

That's a really good tip! Thank you! When I use the source editor, it feels like guessing that it will be the right one. Will remember this for the next workshop page.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

If you enter the text that you want as a link and then use the "Link text" button on the toolbar, and you let ATT build the drop-down list of options, you'll see which pages are redirects.

For example:

Thanks, Rob. I live in the source editor, so I never use tools like that.
