- Oblivious to Love: He's completely unaware of Yandere-chan's love for him.
- Ordinary High School Student: Word of God as seen here.
- Sempai-Kohai: For obvious reasons. Notably seems to be the only character referred to as Sempai and there are no characters referred to as Kohai.

- Robot Girl: If the rumors are true.
The Journalist
A character from the lore
Tropes exhibited by this character include:
- The Alcoholic: Drowning His Sorrows for his failed attempt to bring a killer to justice. The fact it backfired horribly didn't help either.
- Hero with Bad Publicity: He was better off when he had no publicity.
- Intrepid Reporter: Initially. He stops after a case not only ended his career, but made his life hell.
- Shaggy Dog Story: His failed scoop and the consequences that garnered amount to this. His later attempt to move to America seems like a Hope Spot. Except that Ryoba knows where he is.
