Subjective Tropes included with A Hero include:

- Which is immediately eclipsed, within the same chapter, by the following:

- Angst? What Angst?: Dalek Sec, mostly because he replaces "angst," with "RAGE."
- Also, this little exchange:

- Take That, Scrappy!: In chapter four, Sec delivers a Badass Boast as to why the Daleks are the supreme beings, and then vaporizes Kyubey.
- In a much more minor case, in this fanart, Dalek Sec is running over Kyubey's tail.
- Wangst: Played with, but subverted HARD in one of the omake chapters. Dalek Sec feels lots of despair, but instead of whining about it, decides to go and exterminate everything.
- Granted, that was rather flimsy Sayonara, Zetsubou-sensei parody...
