• Crazy Awesome: During his feud with Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Savage actually let himself get bit by a (devenomized) snake.
  • Which then turned into a bit of Nightmare Fuel as the snake would not let go of Savage's arm despite Jake trying to get the snake off of him.
• Crowning Moment of Awesome: His show-stealing match with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat at WrestleMania 3 for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. As in one-of-the-greatest-matches-of-all-time show-stealing.
  • Beating Ric Flair at Wrestlemania VIII to win the WWF Championship for a 2nd time is up there, too.
  • His incredibly savvy method of winning his stipulation match against Crush at Wrestlemania X: he strung him up to a coat rack after pinning him in a modified Falls Count Anywhere match so he couldn't make it back to the ring before the count of 60. Crush's struggling when he came to resulted in this becoming a Crowning Moment of Funny, to boot.
• Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: His marriage to Miss Elizabeth (Kayfabe, since they'd already been married for years) at SummerSlam.
  • Their reunion at Wrestlemania VII.
  • Overlapping heavily with Tear Jerker, Hulk Hogan's tweets following Savage's death about how they'd just started talking again and how Hogan regretted a decade of animosity between the two.
• Funny Aneurysm Moment: The ending of this video, which was released months ago as a spoof.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Savage's death happens on the same day the original Slim Jim factory closed down.
• Memetic Mutation: The Where's Randy Savage? blog, which features images where the Macho Man's photoshopped into various scenes, such as Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure, Predator and Star Wars - as well as various famous real life photographs.
  • Became something of an Ascended Meme when Randy Savage was actually spotted sitting in the crowd behind home base at a Mets game.

  • When there was the May 21, 2011 doomsday hoax, Randy Savage's death was allegedly responsible for "averting" the apocalypse. Hence, "Macho Man: he died for your sins!"
• Memetic Badass: Due to the timing of his death, Savage is cited as having prevented the Rapture via Diving Elbow Drop on Jesus.
• Memetic Molester: There was a wrestling urban legend which claimed that Savage was released from the WWF in 1994 because he raped a then-18-year-old Stephanie McMahon.

• What Could Have Been: Had Hulk Hogan not coincidentally chosen to visit the TNA set on the same day as him, Savage might have stuck around. Then Jeff Jarrett might have dropped the World title sooner, and the company might have gotten a much needed boost.
