I'm inclined to simply remove the empty examples section (which will take this Useful Note off the Trope Workshop page). Any objections?

None. And we should probably put a different "media type" on it, as we do make a distinction between a trope and a useful note. We sadly can't just strip it off entirely due to disambiguation issues.
If it's already a Useful Note then yeah, get rid of the examples section (or at least change it in accordance with what Looney Toons pointed out).
Even if it is a trope, I don't want to see 152 names of random forum users in the "real life" example section. Remove the examples section.
