Xolga and Mr. Toko/YMMV
- Alternate Character Interpretation: is the Locket actively evil? Is it a troll enjoying our protagonist's suffering? Or it is an entity with a complete alien system of values?
- Fan-Preferred Couple: Many fans prefer Xolga and Mr.Toko as a couple despite Pacthesis insisting they aren't...
- Fridge Logic: Lampshaded by Mr. Toko in 3rd part of the sequel, when trying to make sense of the citizens of the Dreamboat Kingdom. Hilarity Ensues
Mr.Toko: How do you guys repopulate then? |
- Tear Jerker: For a comedic game series, this sure has a lot of moments:
- The 4th episode of the first part. Granted, is a Foregone Conclusion for the secret character of Patchesis's Kingdom Days Date Sim, but is still a shock to see a whole town condemn an innocent supernatural creature of a crime he was falsely accused of, just because they wanted a scapegoat, not actual justice.
- The 6th Episode. For Mr Toko, the reveal that he used to be a hitman, and that, when escaping from the Organization he used to work, he witnessed the murder of his only and best friend, with was also escaping with him. To twist the knife even more, Mr. Toko realizes, while reliving the whole scenario, that he hasn't the actual memories of the event, and is plenty conscious that, was not for his Amnesiac Dissonance, reviving the spoilered scene would be even crueler. For Xolga, realizing that the happiest memory the poor guy has is of the day his alcoholic mother being nice for once and granting the small mercy of giving him coins to play in a mechanical game he was actually too old to ride in.
- 7th part of the sequel. Don't you even say that you don't feel bad for Mr.Toko/Tom. To explain: in this episode we discover that, before getting on the grips of the Organization, Toko/Tom was an Ill Boy wasting away in a hospital, with no one to visit him and only a friend, that in the very last moment is revealed to be a plush toy/imaginary friend
