Youko Hikasa (日笠陽子) is a seiyuu from Kanagawa and was born in 1985. After watching Sailor Moon, she was inspired to become a voice actor and eventually attended Nihon Narration Engi Kenkyūjo. She has a beautiful, energetic singing voice and typically plays mature, composed female characters, although she also lends her talents towards giving voice to manipulative or obnoxious characters.
Hikasa is best known for her role as Mio Akiyama in K-On!, and as such, has worked with Aki Toyosaki and Satomi Sato in several other anime.
