Boy Meets Boy

A romance comic from Sandra K. Fuhr, which you can read here..

The main plot focuses on Mikhael and Harley, along with the aptly named (to begin with) Boy Band, the fiendish Tybalt and the even more fiendish Tabitha, daughter of Satan. They have their share of adventures, especially emotional ones.

After it ended it immediately led into the spin-off series Friendly Hostility, focusing on two side-characters, Collin and Fox

Tropes used in Boy Meets Boy include:

All Love Is Unrequited: At one point, a lot of love is unrequited. In one panel we learn that Harley used to like Skids, who still likes Harley, but Harley is already in a relationship with Mikhael, whose ex Tybalt is still not over him, in the mean time also throwing passes at Harley, who keeps rejecting him of course, all while Cy is secretly in love with Skids, who never finds out about this and at one point explicitly said Cy "wasn't his type". Cy eventually goes out with a girl named Ronnie, who Skids sorta kinda liked at the time.
Art Evolution: The comic updated virtually every day, and as such the quality improved. Especially in regards to properly scanning a page and use of word bubbles.
Better as Friends: Cy and Skids initially, although Word of God is that they didn't even end up as friends - they lost contact.
Bigger Is Better in Bed: Harley describes Mikhael's as "big as a ruler." And then there's this strip.
Bishonen: Tybalt, Aubrey, and arguably Cy, Harley, and Skids.
Bi the Way: Skids... well... is hard to put in a category, and his sexual orientation is never really discussed, only the people he has feelings for.
Bittersweet Ending: A few relationships get together, a few friendships end, some people live happily ever after, and others drift apart and lose contact forever.
Blondes Are Evil: Played straight with Collin and averted with Harley.
Breakout Character: Fox and Collin, who steal the spotlight of boy meets boy, get their own webcomic in Friendly Hostility, and then make appearances in Other Peoples Business.
Break the Cutie: Happens to poor little Skids
Camp Gay: Harley, who although claiming to be a badass punk rocker, was still a spry little blond wearing tight feminine clothing, short-shorts, and belly shirts. He even dressed as Buffy Summers for Halloween and wore nothing but a diaper for New Year's.
Cannot Spit It Out: Cyanide's love for Skids.
Casanova (Tybalt)
Cast Full of Gay: Mik, Harley, and Tybalt are gay. Fox, Skids, and Cy are bisexual. Colin is an "asexual with an exception" and years later in Friendly Hostility comes out as gay, and Aubrey is a transgender man. That's pretty much 80% of the cast.
Character Focus
Cleaning Up Romantic Loose Ends
Creator Backlash: Do not mention this strip or any characters but Fox and Collin to Fuhr. You will not endear yourself to her.
Depraved Bisexual: Tybalt. Emphasis on the depraved.
Easy Sex Change: Aubrey somehow managed to go from zero to testosterone and top surgery in a year.[1]
- Though a later comic reveals that secretly Aubrey hasn't had a bottom surgery yet, but refuses to tell anyone because he fears it will make him seem like less of a man.
Et Tu, Brute?: The cause of Mik's split with ex-boyfriend Tybalt.
Even the Guys Want Him: Skids. As in, girls want him, gays want him, bisexuals want him, and his best friend who's otherwise heterosexual wants him.
Fan Service: Sandra had quite a few blatant instances of flat out fanservice, and had a few NSFW pictures of the characters on the site before taking them down after a while. These days the fanservice in her comics are more incidental than intentional.
Green-Eyed Monster: Mik's major character flaw.
Hollywood Nerd
If It's You It's Okay: Cy frequently boasts about being "the hetero one", and has various encounters with women in the comic, he also happens to have an infatuation with Skids and skids alone. Collin claims to be an asexual with Fox as his one exception, until Friendly Hostility anyways...
Karma Houdini Warranty: Harley can be a bit daft, but his temporary split with Mik was caused by a genuine accident... and no small amount of jealousy. Look on the bright side - at least he fared better that later characters...
Leaving You to Find Myself: In the end of the comic, Skids does this to essentially the entire cast. Abandoning his hat, ditching his nickname, and moving away, fully intending on never seeing any of his friends again.
Lighter and Fluffier: Sort of, in retrospect. Anyone who backpedals from Other Peoples Business to B.m.B is in for a heck of a culture shock. It's hard to believe that this was the jumping off point for the archs in the late Friendly Hostility and Other Peoples Business.
- The comic was even a lighter and softer move at the time. Harley and Mik were initially characters from a much darker series she made called Utopia, which is now Lost Forever. She was unhappy with it, and didn't like the dark and depressing nature, and decided to make Boy Meets Boy as a way of giving the characters a happier life.

Looking for Love In All the Wrong Places: Sort of.

Man Child (Flash. "There are inflatable women?")
May-December Romance: There's a bit of an age gap between Mik and Harley. When they first had sex Harley was only 17. (But Mik didn't know that at the time.)
Mundane Fantastic: Although seemingly set in our world, Tabitha is the daughter of Satan with occasional related hijinks ensuing.
- Lets not forget the small storylines around the end where Fox is secretly a superhero and Collin his arch nemesis/ sidekick
No Fourth Wall: Right at the beginning Mik acknowledges that there's an audience watching him. Now and then various characters make references to being in a webcomic, often to others whodon't know what that character is talking about or mentioning stuff like the irregular font in certain speech bubbles.
Old Shame: Even though it was the comic that pretty much defined Sandra K. Fuhr as a force to be reckoned with in webcomics, Boy Meets Boy is a taboo topic nowadays. By the end of the comic, the author was tired of the story and had fallen out with the characters.
- Soon after Other Peoples Business started, people were asking if they'd see cameo appearances of Boy Meets Boy characters in it, along with Friendly Hostility. Sandra threatened not to tempt her, as if they showed up again, she'd probably make a Darker and Edgier bleak future for Mik and Harley.
Relationship Upgrade: Fox and Collin. Averted with Cy and Skids.
Rotating Arcs: Between Harley and Mik, Collin and Fox and Skids and Tybalt.
Satan Is Good: Or at the very least, Affably Evil.
Spin-Off: Friendly Hostility, where Fox and Collin are the main characters, and that spun off into Other Peoples Business, where Fox is a supporting character, and Collin is one of the antagonists.
Invisible to Gaydar: Mikhael is probably the best example.
Story Arc
Suspiciously Specific Denial: Cy says he didn't have a wet dream about Skids.

Totally Radical: Harley, Cy, and Skids all seem to frequently use the term "shibby".
Unlucky Childhood Friend: Cy to Skids, and Skids to Harley.
You Don't Want to Die a Virgin, Do You?: This conversation
Wham! Episode: It has some doozies.
Who Is This Guy Again?: Aubrey, the trans man was introduced while still presenting as a woman in one of the first introduction strips as being one of Harleys friends who Mik hates. After that the character vanishes completely without mention for a long time, and then comes back under a different gender and name, leaving many confused at first about why we should know who he is.
Will They or Won't They?: Oh boy, does it ever have this.
You Gotta Have Blue Hair: The two distinct blue streaks in Collin's hair are an important part of his identity, as they represent something that his parents can't control about his life. As we see in Friendly Hostility, every time he visits his parents' home they force him to bleach the streaks out; the minute he leaves, he re-dyes.
