Digital Domain (website here) is a Californian-based effects studio. Originally, it was a collaboration between James Cameron, Stan Winston and former head of ILM Scott Ross in 1994. All three eventually left the company. The company has provided CG and miniature work for over sixty films, multiple commercials and over a dozen games.

In 2006, an affiliate company called Wyndcrest Holdings, LLC bought out the company. This means that yes, Michael Bay owns the studio.
