Health and Physical Education for 30-Year-Olds started as a guidebook for single men to meet and begin relationships with women. It includes colorful characters and some laughs.

The manga adaptation by Rikako Inomoto started on the November/December 2010 issue of Comic Rex. In 2011, the book was adapted into an anime television series produced by Gathering and was broadcast in Japan on BS11 and Tokyo MX from April to June 2011.

Tropes used in Health and Physical Education for 30-Year-Olds include:

• Bigger Is Better in Bed: Implied with Daigorou in 10.
• Big Ol' Eyebrows: Andou-san.
• Evolving Credits: The end credits show the main characters(?)^{[please verify]} walking toward each other, slightly older in each episode, starting from infancy.

• Les Yay: Natsu and Pii-Chan. Pii-chan even takes Natsu's first kiss.
• Papa Wolf: Hayaos Landlord is one to the virgins under his care. He even goes transforms when he senses that Hayao's virginity is being threatened.

• Shout-Out: The AK-Fields.
  • A pink rabbit shows up in 10 that looks like another rabbit.
  • In 6 Macaron slaps Hayao while they look like Sayla Mass and Amuro Ray. As well as Natsu activating her AK-Fields and turning into Venus.
  • There have been a couple of shout outs to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
  • When Macaron and Hayao were about to kiss Macaron stops and tells Hayao what he was doing wrong as Lances stabbed Hayao.
• Shrinking Violet: Both of the main characters.
• Speaks Fluent Animal: Kuu-chan is shown to be able to talk to animals at the zoo in episode 9.
• This Loser Is You: Quite explicitly.
• Unsettling Gender Reveal: This is how Macaron is introduced.
• Wholesome Crossdresser: Macaron. Daigorou and Pii-chan have done it as well.
