  • Shout-Out: Due to many factors there's a shout out at least once a chapter. Here's a few:
    • Chapter 2: When Twilight introduces herself to the Tendos, the book of the same name is mentioned. From her tone, she hates it as much as many of us do.
    • Chapter 3: In a flashback, there is mention of a marriage option allowed by Amazon law called the "Heaven and Earth Solution".
    • Chapter 5: Pinkie Pie has nightmares involving killing ponies and turning them into cupcakes.
    • Chapter 9: Momo buys Chopper's hat at a store.
    • Chapter 10: The "Kuno is a Dope" T-shirt selling out in five minutes is a nod to a similar Simpsons gag.
    • In the recut, Emi pulls out a Bat Credit Card. Shou has the expected reaction.
    • Chapter 12: During the Martial Arts Marathon, Ryoko's fans sing a version of the Sat AM theme song.
    • Chapter 16: When Belle grabs Pig-Ryoga and Kodachi grabs Kuno, Shou plays the Pokemon battle theme. The text even does a Pokemon-style description.
      • When discussing what weapons are valid, Momo asks if a steam roller is allowed, as a reference to another Ranma 1/2 fanfic.
      • Momo wonders if Kodachi would grab onto Belle's hair and force her to cut it, in reference to when Sakura cuts her hair in Naruto.
      • Momo uses a variation of Mikuru's catchphrase as one point during the commentary.
    • Chapter 19: When Momo gets mad during the skating match, Shou plays Rage Awakened.
    • Chapter 20: During the cosplay chapter, there are plenty, as to be expected.
      • Pinkie learns about Cosplay while watching Lucky Star.
        • Speaking of which, costumes are characters from Harry Potter(Hikaru dressed as Hermione), Haruhi Suzumiya, Pokémon(Ryoga and Cologne are Satoshi/Ash and Pikachu respectively), Slayers(Ranma-chan as Lina Inverse, and their having the same Japanese VA is lampshaded), Sonic(Ran as the title character), Negima(Shampoo as Kei Fu), Bleach(Akane as Rukia), One Piece(Nabiki as Nami), Ah! My Goddess (Kasumi as Belldandy), Naruto(Chiyo as Hinata), and more!
      • Also, Shou tries to sing the same song Konata butchered. Cue him getting booed off the stage.
    • Chapter 44: Shou and Emi riff on the play ala Statler and Waldorf. They're even in a balcony.
    • Chapter 48: Discord's attempt at a human disguise is Q, and Star Trek fans soon mob him.
    • In chapter 53, Discord creates clones of Mewtwo, Buggy and Alvida, Zabuza, Gin Ichimaru, Ryoko Asakura, and Viluy.
    • In Chapter 63 the male Pinkie clone character named Ichigo wields a Zangetsu replica.
    • Chapter 65 has Back to The Future and Doctor Whooves gags.
    • Chapter 66 uses a Family Guy gag involving characters having the same voice actor.
  • What Could Have Been: The plots of chapters 58 and 63 were reversed, originally Discord creating opposite sex clones was meant to be chapter 58 and chapter 63 was supposed to be Discord messing with the anime club, but because she didn't want the Mane Cast to find out about Tsubasa working with Loofah so soon after it happened, she changed her plans. Had she gone with the original plan, then the humorous coincidence of Chapter 63 being basically about Rule 63 wouldn't have happened.
    • Originally, the B plot of Miki's introduction arc (Rainbow Dash getting kidnapped by Asuza mistaking her for a stuffed toy) was going to be its own chapter, but was forced to become a B plot of the arc when Emma Iveli couldn't find enough material for it to be a proper chapter.
      • Chapter 65 was going to be the Azusa chapter, however it became a chapter based on the episode "Back to the Happosai".
