Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Will: H? How many fingers??
Henry: Mmmm... Tuesday.
Will: Eh, he's gonna be fine.

    • "Chimera":

Henry: I was having this really wild dream - Erica was Princess Leia and I was doing this thing with my lightsaber-

Magnus: Whoa!

  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: "If you ever do that to me again, I will shoot you myself." The friendship between Henry and the Big Guy is pretty much one of these all over, all the time.
    • "Magnus, never, ever ask me to kill you again."
  • Die for Our Ship: Inflicted on Clara Griffin by those who are against the Will/Clara ship. You can all relax now, she dies during the second half of the 2nd season opener.
    • Then Abby Corrigan showed up... man, Will can't get with anyone without fan backlash against the poor girl.
  • Draco in Leather Pants: John Druitt, especially after his Cry for the Devil moment in "Haunted". Tesla too, although not quite to the same extent.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Tesla.
  • Fan-Preferred Couple: Even though Helen/Druitt is canon, you're fairly hard pressed to find someone who doesn't ship Helen/Tesla. Including Tesla.
  • Ho Yay: Druitt and Watson. Also qualifies as Foe Yay. Watson also seemed to have quite a bit of affection for Will, and vice versa. (Then again, Watson is played by Peter Wingfield.)
    • Les Yay: Helen and Ranna. Oh, so very much.
      • Les Yay: At the end of "Monsoon". Surprisingly enough, Helen reciprocates!
  • Magnificent Bastard: Tesla.
  • Narm: Will's dance for Kali. It was a pretty cool dance though.
    • Most of what Will does after getting linked to Kali/Big Bertha. The torture scene was, in fact, downright hilarious, among other things; at least some of it had to have been deliberate.
  • Narm Charm: As above, Will's dance for Kali. The fact that said dance is a full on show stopping Bollywood dance number has to mean they did it on purpose. It's just too damn ridiculous to be an accident.
    • In-universe as well. Look at the crowd, none of them can see Will's imaginary dancers, yet none of them are in any hurry to stop watching him.
  • No Yay: Henry/the Big Guy/Bigfoot
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Druitt and Tesla apparently take down the entirety of the Cabal on their own as revenge for Ashley's death. Offscreen. John is even in one scene drinking some sort of amber liquor and with a few splotches of blood on his neck.
  • Replacement Scrappy: Kate for replacing Ashley though according to Word of God Ashley just wasn't popular enough which could make Kate a plain old Scrappy. In an additionally blatant case of Double Standards most of the fans who hate Kate are fangirls who love Tesla.
    • Tesla isn't a scrappy. That's thanks to the fact of a character that has more depth than Ashley and Kate put together (bit of stereotypes in themselves) and the great acting of Jonathon Young.
  • Ship-to-Ship Combat: Helen/Nikola vs Helen/John vs Helen/James. Meanwhile, Helen/Will shippers are roundly mocked, and Helen/Ranna shippers are thoroughly ignored.
  • Special Effects Failure: As a Syfy original series, the show expectantly runs into this. However, it's not the low-budget CGI (which is surprisingly decent) that does it for fans, but the goofy-looking muscle suit that the lead actor wears when he's turned into a hulking freak.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks: The reaction of some fans to the new opening theme.
  • They Just Didn't Care: One is tempted to think they didn't do research with their original claim about the Arthur mythos that makes the morrigan a creation of Morgan Le Fay but actually they had to do some research to get that far, so one shall guess they just did not care.
  • Values Dissonance: A little over a hundred years ago, Helen and the rest of The Five hunted down a dangerous man who attempted to kill most of London. He also had Dissociative Identity Disorder, and thus wasn't fully responsible for his behavior. Nevertheless, Helen did her level best to kill him in cold blood in order to protect society, believed she had succeeded, and is still pretty okay with that. Will, a modern psychologist, is appalled.
  • What an Idiot! / Wrong Genre Savvy: The Adjuster. Apparently, at no point after getting his Clingy Costume with associated Flying Brick powers did he draw the obvious Venom parallels and worry about the suit being harmful to his health.
    • Given how it's stated that the suit won't go off until you actually want it off, it's probable he didn't care.
  • The Woobie: Henry.
