I would think so - it matches "Big Freaking Grin" and "Big Freaking Guitar" on the disambiguation page
I think using the full name instead of an initialism is a much better idea. When I see "BFG" I always think of The Big Friendly Giant. Plus, there's a reason you're not supposed to toss around abbreviations like a fountain.
Eh... I think I'll vote no. I'm adverse to making a change on this one.
As someone old/young enough to have played the OG boomer shooters back when they first came out, I just feel strongly about it. :/

@Robkelk I think you were joking, but OG probably refers to "original". Either way, my respect of opinions aside, I don't think there's a reason not to change it. We can just make "BFG (weapon)" a redirect.
Actually, I was pointing out why using abbreviations isn't a good idea. But, yes, we can keep the old name as a redirect at least for as long as it appears on other pages... and it's on a lot of pages.
Correct. (And we'd both mentioned the perils of using abbreviations earlier in this thread, too. <grin>)
