For example, Star Trek: The Next Generation, season 5, "Disaster" (an episode that we don't have a recap for). It's definitely a trope, but we don't appear to have it yet.

One of the Men in Black movies had a scene like that, running as a Funny Background Event.

And Real Life examples aren't hard to find. Offsides, from my forums (though long absent from them), had to deliver his son on a roadside some 8 or 10 years ago.
