Yeah, I say we add a hard rule to the page to add context to the example to make sure it actually gets more than just a bare work link.

I would say it's a trope, because it's used to emphasize a sigh and help convey whatever the sigh is conveying. Thus, its purpose is to amplify the meaning of a sigh, so there is a reason for its use. I support the decision to tag examples as needing context.

Agreed on tagging for context. As this is one of my original tropes back from the early days of TVT, I'd hate to see it turned into a mere category. <grin>

I think so because different shows have varieties on it. Sylvia actually says "Sigh" in an episode of Wander over Yonder.
