Ferrik

• Dub Name Change: Flick in the Japanese version
• Hair Decorations: Subverted. At first glance, he appears to have a feather in his hair. However, a closer look will reveal that it's actually one of his side-bangs dyed to look like a feather. Why? No-one knows.
• Follow in My Footsteps: Ferrik's father was a knight, and he was saved by a knight. Guess what he wants to be.
• Heroes Prefer Swords
• Jack of All Stats: Mostly. He's balanced, but leans more towards physical attacks.
• Red-Headed Hero: Well, actually orange.

Tamber

• Dub Name Change: Tumble in the Japanese version
• Fragile Speedster:
• Jack of All Stats: Like Ferrik, she's mostly balanced, but weighted toward magic instead.
• Nice Hat: Wears a large hairband with attached headscarf...thing.
• The Smurfette Principle: Played straight in that she's the only female playable character, but subverted in that she's not the only important girl in the game.

Poppen

• Dub Name Change: Pop in the Japanese version
• Epic Flail
• Nice Hat: A huge turban-like...thing with two big red hemispherical...things.
  • When combined with one of the green straps on the turban, the red things look like a pair of headphones.
• Older Than They Look. Poppen is nine years old. He looks about five.

Wanderer

• Dub Name Change: Nikita in the Japanese version, a name shared by Niccolo in Sword of Mana and their Spiritual Predecessor Neko in Secret of Mana.
• Funny Animal: The only niccolo in the game.
• Gentle Giant
• Nice Hat: And thankfully it's easier to describe than the previous two: a green and mustard-yellow patchwork affair, with a bell in the tip and holes for his ears. Ironically, for someone so heavily skewed toward physical strength, Wanderer's hat bears a rather close resemblance to that of your standard Black Mage.
• Mighty Glacier
• Walking the Earth: It's in his name. Though he has spent more time on Illusia Isle than he usually does in one place, and has even considered settling there permanently because, well, who wouldn't want to?
