The Comic Party franchise has a well-defined set of characters. CP is the first season anime Comic Party; "CPR" is the second season anime Comic Party Revolution. Names are given in English order.

Line 16 ⟶ 17:
*Kaoru Morota (Japanese), Georgette Reilly (CP English), Tiffany Grant (CPR English)
Yuu Inagawa is a Kansai-speaking, passionate dojinshi enthusiast. She is from Kobe, but comes to Tokyo often for Comic Party. Her parents own a Japanese inn and hot-springs resort that she will inherit when she is older. Yuu is the sole member of the circle "Karamitei". She teaches Kazuki about dojinshi publishing and comics exhibition. She is nicknamed "Hot Springs Panda" (Panda Onseniko) by Eimi because she owns a hot springs and she has large circle glasses that is similar to the dark patches around the panda's eyes.

Tropes exhibited by Yuu include:
* Kansai Regional Accent: Very noticeable.
* Meganekko: Always wears her glasses, except in the outdoor bath during the Hot Springs Episode.
* Paper Fan of Doom: Uses one to slap her table to draw attention during ComiPa and spot sales. Also uses it on Eimi occasionally when "Ohba-ka" has done something egregiously stupid.

Eimi Ohba
*Shizuka Ishikawa (Japanese), Jessica Calvello (CP English), Larissa Wolcott (CPR English)
Eimi Ohba is an egoistic dojin artist with the self-proclaimed title of "Queen of ComiPa". She is the head of a popular dojin circle called "CAT OR FISH?!". She is fiercely competitive and believes the value of the dojinshi is based on how many copies it sold. In exchange for her nicknaming Yuu Inagawa, Yuu has nicknamed her "Ohba-ka", which shows their relationship is less than friendly.

She is younger than most of the other cast - in Comic Party Revolution, she is still in high school while the other doujinshi artists and cosplayers are in university.

Aya Hasebe
*Mie Sonozaki (Japanese), Carol Jacobanis (CP English), Kim Prause (CPR English)
Aya Hasebe is a timid girl who draws original dojinshi. She usually gets Kazukipeople's attention by pulling on histheir shirtshirtsleeves rather than calling out to himthem. (During the Hot Springs Episode, she taps a shoulder instead.) Aya's circle is called "Jamming Book Store". Her dojinshi does not sell well because she has a hard time attracting customers, even though it has good artwork and costs only 200 yen (instead of the usual 500-1000 yen). Kazuki admires her artwork and creative story, so he tries to help her sell whenever he can.

* Shrinking Violet: To the point that Taishi calls her "Stealth Aya" in Comic Party Revolution episode 9. She has so little personal presence that most people simply do not notice she's present.

Minami Makimura
*Miho Yamada (Japanese), Lisa Ortiz (CP English), Allison Sumrall (CPR English)
Minami Makimura is the head staff of the Comic Party conventions. During the conventions, she is seen patrolling the grounds. She always checks Kazuki's dojinshi to see whether it's acceptable to be sold there. Comic Party Revolution reveals that she used to draw doujinshi, but hasn't written anything in years.

Despite being in charge of the business end of an expy of Comiket, Minami is something of a romantic at heart, being willing to set up a blind date between a girl who doesn't have any experience with love and a kind boy who's the girl's age. She can also be unobservant at times, being the only person in the anime's named cast who falls for Asahi's Clark Kenting - Asahi had to put her glasses on in front of Minami for her to finally figure it out.

Chisa Tsukamoto
Line 37 ⟶ 49:
*Sumie Baba (Japanese), Lisa Ortiz (CP English), Kim-Ly Nguyen (CPR English)
Chisa Tsukamoto is the daughter of the printing shop where Kazuki gets his dojinshi printed. She is hardworking and looks after the business when her parents go out of town, but she is clumsy and scatterbrained and sometimes makes mistakes with the printing process. She is often seen chasing a runaway cart. In the first anime, she's a junior student at Kazuki's school.

Tropes exhibited by Reiko include:
* Drag King: Only while cosplaying, and only if she loves the character.
* Official Cosplay Gear: Thoroughly averted; Team Ikkatsu makes their outfits at home.

Asahi Sakurai
*Satomi Koorogi (Japanese), Jessica Boone (CPR English)
Asahi Sakurai is anime and manga fan by day and a famous idol by night. She is the voice actress of Card Master Peach, the main character of a popular anime in the Comic Party world (and a double parody of Wedding Peach and Cardcaptor Sakura). Even though she is an idol, she is nervous around people so she often stutters and forgets what she was going to say. Asahi disguises herself with eyeglasses and a hat and appears less self-confident than she acts on stage when she wants to enjoy the public without a crowd around her which quickly forms when her identity is revealed. (Judging from her spotlight episode in Comic Party Revolution, the glasses are probably prescription - she doesn't wear them on-stage, but she does wear them while she's in her agent's office.)

Asahi's role in the first Comic Party anime adaption is limited since she does not interact with the main protagonist. Instead, she is only heard on the radio and briefly seen singing at a concert.

Tropes exhibited by Asahi include:
* Clark Kenting: When out in public, she adds glasses and a hat to her outfit, and is much more timid than when she's on stage. It fools Minami and other people who aren't familiar with her, but Taishi and other members of her fan club see right through it.

Subaru Mikage
Line 56 ⟶ 76:
*Masayo Kurata (Japanese), Jenny Larson (CPR English)
Miko fighter obsessed with hero stories, but terrible at creating dojinshi. Her group is "Sin-jyusyokakutei." She is not featured in the original game and anime series, appearing in Comic Party Revolution.
Tropes exhibited by Subaru include:
<br clear="all" />
* The Ditz: Can't tell a coherent story, draws at a grade-school skill level, but still thinks she creates good doujinshi. Also, when she helped Chisa run Tsukamoto Printing while Chisa's father was in the hospital, Subaru nearly ran the business into the ground.
* You! Get Me Coffee!: She's on the receiving end of this from clients of Tsukamoto Printing during her short stint there. She complains - twice - that she's not an errand girl.

Ikumi Tachikawa
Line 62 ⟶ 84:
*Kimiko Koyama (Japanese), Kerry Grant (CP English), Cynthia Martinez (CPR English)
A sickly girl, Kazuki's fan and first customer. Ikumi has spent most of her life in the hospital. She has an older, very muscular, brother named Yuuzo in Comic Party Revolution.

Tropes exhibited by Ikumi include:
* Ill Girl: mentioned in the first anime series, and Flanderized to be her primary character attribute in Revolution.
<br clear="all" />

Taishi Kuhonbutsu
*Koichi Tochika (Japanese), Liam O'Brien (CP English), Josh Grelle (CPR English)
The other half of "Brother 2", he is a typical otaku who sees the dojinshi concept as the leading pop-culture format of the 21st century. Grandiose in the expressions of his dreams, he takes charge of the logistical aspects of the partnership (paying registration fees, arranging printers, etc.), leaving the actual artwork to Kazuki.

He is also member number 00001 of Asahi Sakurai's fan club, and get very jealous of anyone else who shows any interest in her as a person - even Kazuki.

Tropes exhibited by Taishi include:
* Large Ham: Constantly.
** He habitually calls Sendo "My Brother", Mizuki "My Sister", and everyone else "Comrade", in Gratuitous English and with emphasis, no matter how many times he's been kicked out of the conversation (or the room) by the people he's addressing. Yes, you can hear the capital letters.
** Losing an easily-replaceable convention dealer's pass is The End of the World as We Know It as far as Taishi is concerned.
** He routinely makes speeches while standing on the roof of the Tokyo Big Sight.

Miho Hoshino, Mayu Yumeji, and Yuka Tsukishiro
Line 77 ⟶ 105:
*Mayu: Mie Sonozaki (Japanese), Megan Rawa (CP English), Jessica Boone (CPR English)
*Yuka: Asako Dodo (Japanese), Carol Jacobanis (CP English)
Three members of "Team Ikkatsu", Reiko's cosplay fanclub. Their family names are given in the Japanese credits.

Tropes exhibited by Miho, Mayu and Yuka include:
* Large Ham: When discussing cosplay, Miho can reach the same levels of scenery-chewing that Taishi reaches on a regular basis. Amazingly, when Miho was in Large Ham mode in Taishi's presence, Ham-to-Ham Combat was averted... which implies that the usual level of ham for both of them is their maximum level of ham.
* Meganekko: Yuka.
* Official Cosplay Gear: Thoroughly averted; Team Ikkatsu makes their outfits at home.
* Those Three Girls
* Yaoi Fangirl: All three of them.
