Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Bonbon thought his powerup was awesome, but when Lute gets his in Shamshiel's route, the battle becomes a One-Hit Kill for Lute. To put things in proper perspective, Bonbon was all proud of knocking out Shamshiel with a blast of power, while Lute managed to KILL HIM with the same.
  • In the royal commander route, three assassins try to kill Lute in his sleep, and without waking up, takes all three down by punching them all out. Becomes both awesome and utterly hilarious when Shamshiel appears and mentions she didn't even get a turn to do anything.
  • Lute gets placed in an awkward position after he gets challenged to a duel, courtesy of Wan Coan meeting the enemy commander secretly and being offered the terms, which he accepts, exceeding his authority. At the same time, he gets confirmation there is a traitor, which he was informed about by the King in a letter, and the apparent traitors are the three generals who accidentally reveal they were behind the assassin attacks. He can't have them imprisoned despite even them pointing out their actions would be worth that punishment, and since he knows if the information got out it would also cripple the situation further, he instructs everyone there NOT to report the apparent treason until after the duel (three days hence), because doing so beforehand would weaken their position to the enemy, so he hits upon a compromise that surprises everyone: He forgives the generals, telling them he figured it was merely a test of his abilities, requesting they stick around since they obvious have command experience, winning their reluctant respect for his foresight, while imprisoning Wan Coan as the lesser of two evils while still laying down the law. He also commands the visiting Motaire and Isis to stick around to prevent the information from leaking, especially to the Prime Minister, who he knows will be expecting it and plans to move on it, and asks Motaire to take his place should he lose the duel, ensuring Motaire will stick around since it means an instant promotion, which Lute knows he wants. Later, to make sure his own death won't be in vain should the worst happens, he confides in General Felzen about the traitor, asking Felzen to deal with them in the worst case, and even though Felzen freely admits it could be him, Lute further wins his reluctant respect in the process.
  • Karma finally catches up to Motaire when he shit talks Lute and Gladys Wackenheim hears it, promptly giving him a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown for disrespecting her man, complete with leaving his smug pretty boy face a swollen lump and forcing him to stagger out of the room, barely able to make sentences that make sense.
  • Gladys and retroactively her late father Duke Wackenheim pulled off a massive Batman Gambit that no one really expected. Duke Wackenheim was never in opposition to the meritocracy reforms of King Hagel in the first place, but knew others would be, so he gathered all the rebels in one place to contain any potential bloodshed. And the whole rebellion was actually a Secret Test of Character to see who among the new knights the King would assign to put down the rebellion would actually realize the real reason behind it and thus do what was needed to mollify both sides.
    • And right afterwards she helps reveal who the real traitor is: Wan Coan, on orders from the Prime Minister.
  • When every other plot the Prime Minister has tried to screw over Lute fails, he goes for his next to very last option to take Lute down: getting Emeralia to seduce him and turn him into a mind controlled puppet because she's actually an excellent sorcerer. The plan goes from nearly successful to Epic Fail in no time flat as Lute manages to remember the split seeds Shamshiel handed him, and uses them to even the odds. And her resolve crumbles as Lute and his clone wear her down with his Sex God level skills, and as it becomes obvious she's actually a nymphomaniac who merely tries to hide it really well, Lute manages to drive her to desperation by denying her pleasure, and she winds up telling the whole truth, with the end result being Lute doing to her what she planned to do to him.
    • And the very last plan he tries also ends in Epic Fail, namely attempting to bring Princess Luceria and Lute together in lust, betting on her half-nymph blood to make him a total slave without the princess being aware she was being used as a weapon. The fail happens because Lute also has demonic blood in him and is thus able to resist, pretty much burning the plan to ashes before it ever got off the ground.
  • In the Harem route, while the majority of the events are awesome on their own. Isis has one particularly good one that needs mention: When she and Roxanne are covering for Princess Luceria who was taken by Shamsiel to get help from Gladys, Motaire walks in to check on them. She calls Motaire a traitor for blindly obeying the Prime Minister, then when he calls Lute a murderer, she slaps him! She then says that he's so drunk on his own pride that he's as bad, if not WORSE than Bobon. Motaire in turn threatens to throw her in the dungeon, since he has the authority to do so. Her response? DO IT! She couldn't imagine a world without Lute anymore. She goes further to flat out proclaim her love for Lute, and says that she loves him with all her heart. Motaire reminds her that she was HIS fiance, to which (without missing a beat) she responds: "I'm calling it off here and now. Why don't you just keep f--king around with those sluts Aristera and Droit!" Be honest. After all the crap he says to her, and after all he put Isis through in the other routes, her saying THAT is extremely satisfying and straight up badass. It doesn't even stop there, since Motaire actually discovers their secret and could have exposed them, but she tells him, "Say it if you want. We don't fear death!" He actually DOES keep it secret.
    • Princess Luceria also gets in on the action of putting Motaire in his place... After trusting Shamsiel and traveling to Vunderbalt to make plans with Gladys to rescue Lute, she comes back and Motaire encounters her. The conversation goes like this... At first, Motaire sort of jokes that she's actually there for real (seeing as he had seen she was missing earlier), to which she sternly denies ever leaving, saying she has ALWAYS been there. Up till that point, as far as everyone knew, Princess Luceria was a Spoiled Sweet, timid, and soft-spoken girl, but now she was asserting herself and staring down someone who was the top of his class at the Royal Knight's academy AND a man who actually knew full-well that she was definitely up to something behind everyone's back. He tries to talk to her, but she tells him off by saying that he has no right to call her his "princess", because he and anyone else who vilified Lute were those she now considered her enemy. He's left speechless. But wait, THERE'S MORE! She takes it even further by telling him that if he wanted to report how he'd discovered her missing the day before to the Prime Minister, he could freely do so. As far as she was concerned, her opinion of him (Motaire) couldn't possibly get any lower. She also accurately predicted that Bobon would likely relegate Motaire, and said he was no way fit to rule, so the kingdom was practically occupied by foreign powers already. By now, you'd think she'd be done, but NOPE! She keeps going even further by calling him pitiful for how poorly his powers of perception of people was, and how pathetic he was even if he was the "top of his class". Motaire tries to say something, but she cuts him off and tells him that he has no right to voice his opinion to her, and she tells him to leave. She tells him that men were forbidden from even entering her private garden so he should stop being rude and leave. He tells her he'll be back, to which she tells him that that wouldn't be necessary, and if he ever wanted to actually speak to her again, he should save Lute... Although she doubted he would be capable of that. She then goes off.
    • At the same time, Isis does it AGAIN when she comes up, glares at him, and says that when Lute is executed, Motaire would be as good as dead to her too. Motaire makes one more reference to the fact that he COULD expose them both for what they're doing, but Isis doesn't even flinch when she tells him that NONE of them were afraid to die for Lute. She tells him that with Bobon in charge, Motaire's own career was practically doomed since Bobon hated the Knighted Bueraucracy, even HE should've seen that coming. Motaire says that there was nothing he could do since he was "just a Royal Knight". Isis FLIPS out. She calls him a useless, spineless, not-even-worthy-of-being-called-a man! She tells him to leave, because she never wants to see him again, and if he didn't get out, she'd draw her sword and kill him. Motaire reminds her that HE was always the better fighter of the 2 of them. Without missing a beat, she responds "Right now, you're nothing but a gimp!" Motaire leaves feeling empty and ashamed...
  • Let's not forget the 2nd time that Princess Luceria delivers one hell of a Reason You Suck Speech to someone, this time to Emeralia. Emeralia was Luceria's former personal teacher and probably her closest friend for a long time, but when Lute was framed for murdering her father, it didn't take more than a minute before Luceria had figured that it had to have been a set up, and it also didn't take long for her to accurately deduce that it was the Prime Minister and Emeralia that had actually been behind it all. The next time Emeralia sees Luceria, unknown to her, Luceria as well as Isis (and secretly Shamsiel, Roxanne, and Gladys) had been making a plan to rescue Lute from execution. By now, Emeralia's guilt was taking its toll on her, but Luceria held practically nothing back... When she first sees Emeralia, Luceria bitterly asks what she wanted and why she was there. Emeralia claimed to be trying to check up on her, but Luceria cuts her off saying that they were quite fine without her. She goes on saying that she knew exactly what she had done to her man (Lute) and who Emeralia's father was (the Prime Minister), but she also said that she wasn't going to harbor any hate or grudge against her. That's why, as she put it, she wasn't going to wish any punishment or insult towards her. However, she also made it clear that she never wanted to be near her again. Emeralia was clearly being shaken by all of this, but Luceria kept going... Saying that when Lute dies, it might satisfy her in the short term, but in the long-run it would most definitely come to haunt her. Luceria also remarked that Emeralia should know damn well who should live and who should die in this situation. Emeralia is racked with guilt and pleads for her forgiveness. Luceria tells her that she was going to pretend she hadn't heard that. She didn't want her apology... She wanted Lute back. Emeralia leaves... Utterly racked with overwhelming guilt and sorrow. Lesson here? Do NOT piss off the princess.
  • Another very badass thing to happen during the Harem Route is Shamsiel's plan. She came up with almost the entire plan of how they could rescue Lute on her own, although it DID require her to get help from and thereby reveal herself AS A DEMON to numerous people, knowing full-well that any one of them could have rejected her and the plan could have failed. Think about it? She reveals herself to Roxanne, then to Luceria and Isis, and then she also reveals herself to Gladys, as well as General Felzen, Schlamm, and Zant who were also in on the plan to rescue Lute from his wrongful execution. With how they act toward her during and after the plan's fulfillment, it's clear that they trust her. That's quite an awesome achievement for her as someone who was part of a race that was under an extermination order up till then.
    • The plan itself: They would have Roxanne stay in Princess Luceria's chambers acting as a doppleganger while Shamsiel would bring Luceria to Vunderbalt in order to meet with and get help from Gladys as well as General Schlamm and Zant who would conceal both Gladys herself and a number of her troops in cargo to infiltrate the capital and cause a diversion while the rest rescued Lute. In fact, it's also very likely that she also probably took Luceria with her to meet with General Felzen in order to get him to coordinate with the guards around the city to let Schlamm and Zant's cargo get past inspections.
