Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • In Shamshiel's Route, we find out that while humans fear demons, the demons feel Humans Are Cthulhu. Given the fact that Bobon tries to seize the power of the Hallowed Hand in that route or the whole "Demon Execution Order" thing, and not to mention how most of the most evil acts in the entire game are committed by other humans, they have good reason to feel this way...
    • At the same time, the demons aren't exactly guilt free either though. For starters, at least by the time the story starts, Shamsiel had apparently "eaten" 12 men in the Boan region within a few monthes. She also kills a few others during the actual story granted they were assassins or thugs hired to harm or kill Lute, but still. Then, there's the demons living in the Gripon Forest seen in Isis and Shamsiel's routes. Yes, they're very nice and helpful to Lute, but to anyone else entering the forest? They brutally slaughtered some of the troops sent in with Isis and Lute at the start of the journey. They kidnap Isis (although they thought they were protecting him from her), suspend her over a boiling pot, and then openly admit that they were planning to cook and eat her (which they would probably have done if Lute hadn't intervened on her behalf). Sure, they're trying to keep humans from reaching their sacred temples, but cooking and eating people??????
  • Another thing from Isis' route is the Guardian Tree. At first, it was played as an almost comedic Fetish Fuel with how its sap drove Isis wild, and even after she was released from the vines, she lost control and had sex with Lute which cost her her virginity. However, the Guardian Tree causes them more problems later on when Isis develops a terrible fever that very nearly kills her, had it not been for Lute getting help from the demon villagers who knew how to cure her. In Shamsiel's route, the last we hear is that Isis' fever apparently returned. Whether it was still an effect of the Guardian Tree sap or not is unclear, but if it was... Anyway, later on in Isis' route, they pass the Guardian Tree once again on the way back, but notice a corpse of someone entangled in the vines. The corpse turns out to be that of Prince Bobon, who was now dead. How he died exactly is unclear only that his body was mangled and mutilated, and considering what had happened to Isis, we can only assume the tree very likely raped him to death.
    • Something else to consider is the purpose the Guardian Tree was serving: The "temple" it was guarding is revealed in Shamsiel's route to be nothing more than a trap with literally NO other purpose than to bait those intruding into the forest into trying to enter it and get killed by the Guardian Tree. It worked on Bobon, and ALMOST did on Isis.
  • It's a bit of a throwaway line in the Harem Route, but Emeralia's internal monologue about the Prime Minister refers to him using her to fulfill his "fleshly desires", and when you consider his Dirty Old Man tendencies, her aversion to men save Lute, who she admits actually cared about her even though he suspected she was trying to use him, and the fact he clearly considered her a tool and little more, not to mention she's his bastard daughter and he refuses to let her consider him a parental figure, and the implication he likely used and abused her sexually. And she's his biological daughter, which would explain quite a bit about her Does Not Like Men feelings in a much more disturbing light.
    • And even if the above isn't true, consider what he was using Luceria as an Unwitting Pawn for: She was a Half-Human Hybrid who he was using a dupe to seduce Lute and turn him into her mindless slave without her being aware she was destroying his mind. Worse, in doing so, she'd be losing her own sanity in the process had it worked, and he didn't care he'd be driving an innocent woman insane just to get his way. Due to Lute's own Half-Human Hybrid status, this was thankfully negated though.
