Decision was to replace the copyrighted image with the equivalent Public Domain image from Wikimedia Commons.

The current page image (uploaded by @Kingtom44 less than two weeks ago without consultation with other tropers) is marked as being under copyright. The reason given for the image change was "Own work, sourced from Tropedia"... which does not qualify for unilateral image replacement. So... replace the image. But with what?

The file that was replaced is File:Formulaone 7347.jpg.

The Wikimedia Commons file c:File:F1.svg, which is used on the Wikipedia page for this topic, appears to be the same image as the replacement image but is marked as being in the Public Domain. It is also scalable.

Do we revert to the image we had before unilateral replacement took place, or do we go with Wikipedia and use the PD image that they're using?

I vote to revert to the previous image.

I prefer the route of least hassle, so Wikipedia's image sounds best.

I think the red-and-black one is below threshold-of-originality, so it could go on Commons too and then ATT would have its pick.
