Don't know much about that medium, so I'm abstaining.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Likewise I'm unfamiliar with Pro Wrestling, but looking at the description, it appears that it's using the sports term as a metaphor for similar exchanges in non-sports contexts. I would think that yes, it would be "People Sit on Chairs" within any kind of sport (using the term loosely to include wrestling, of course), and we don't need sport examples.

RivetVermin (talkcontribs)

Been a couple decades since I last paid attention (back when it was still the WWF), but yeah, I remember tag-team matches being VERY popular, and would almost certainly be "people sit on chairs" in that context.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

Within the context of wrestling, yes, this is definitely "People Sit On Chairs". In fictional contexts where they can get pretty creative with this, not so much.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

Thanks, folks. I've added a pro wrestling section with a note saying that examples from that medium aren't needed.

So...

Move to re-launch this.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

Yes.

RivetVermin (talkcontribs)

Go for it

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Agree with everyone here

Umbire the Phantom (talkcontribs)

Works for me.

HeneryVII (talkcontribs)

I'm okay with it

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

Launching.

Narrow or expand focus?

The description for this trope suggests that it is for swapping allies in-and-out to gain an advantage, but many of the video-game examples show characters switching places with their opponents, with the benefit of disadvantaging them, which feels like a whole other thing. Should they be cleared out, or the description widened?

I think the second part should be made an whole new trope "Enemy Switch-Out".

HeneryVII (talkcontribs)

So, like, it's tag-team combat?

I'm with Horny, it seems what you're suggesting is a whole different Trope.

GentlemensDame883 (talkcontribs)

Agreed with the previous two that this seems like two tropes being squeezed into one.

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Maybe we should split it into two different tropes.
