Tempered In Water is a Alt Fic that somehow lighthearted but still serious at the same time, following the everyday life of A Master and His Servant (or so the Servant say) that is Naruto, our titular Idealistic but Idiot Hero, and Haku, a Broken Bird who almost lose her reason to live (yes, HER).

Tropes Covered in the story
- Accidental Hero: By means of stupidity, no less. 1. He tried to kill Haku, except he stab her in the WRONG places. 2. Not retrieving Kunai he used, prevent heavy bleeding to occurs. As the result, Haku survives (if barely).
- Angst What Angst: Realistically averted, everyone, especially Naruto, is Wangsting about their first kill, however said angst stick not too long and actually became a part of Character Development.
- Ascended Extra: Sakura IS NOT really an Extra, however she's given more attention than in Canon.
- Better Than It Sounds: This is story of Fem!Haku meets Naruto where she isn't dead but instead devoted herself to him.
- Broken Bird: Haku, MY GAWD!
- Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: Many of them, but Naruto's inspirational speech to Haku just outstanding.
- Driven to Suicide: Almost, thankfully there's Naruto.
- Happiness in Slavery: Haku, for most of her live, only able to feel happiness IN A DEVOTION TO HER MASTER. She changed over time, if realistically slow.
- Innocent Cohabitation: Naruto and Haku. For now.

- Kuudere: Haku, SOMEWHAT.
- Lawful Good/ Lawful Stupid: Hiruzen, accept Haku despite being risky, but had to enforce the totally unjust law regarding Haku's behavior. He almost hate his own self for this reason.
