Uncreation is an ongoing webcomic by Jamie Wright aka Noontide. Set in a world being devoured by plague, it follows the conflict between two powers - the disease-resistant mutants from the Order of the Pale Knights, and The Empire of humans they've been enlisted to protect.
Uncreation boasts an odd combination of gritty art and humour, with visceral combat and an alien setting that is a far cry from the standard Medieval European Fantasy.
The strip was started in September 2010, and dropped by its creator in February 2012.
Tropes used in Uncreation include:
- Action Girl: Visarah
- Animal Motifs: Vodimir (vulture) and Visarah (rat).
- Badass Grandpa: Vodimir
- Covered with Scars: Visarah, all over her torso and arms.
- Gorn
- Halloween Cosplay: Terenya in 2010, as one of the nurses from Silent Hill.
- And again in 2011, with Visarah and Terenya as Wonder Woman and Supergirl respectively.
- Horse of a Different Color: The Centitrains, enormous centipedes with seats carved into their carapaces.
- Hospital Hottie: Terenya is a medic. She's also blonde, doe-eyed and has curves like whoa.
- Hotblooded Sideburns: Visarah is a rare female example.
- Naive Newcomer: Dieter is totally out of his element when it comes to the Plaguelands.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: All the mutant characters, even though they're the protagonists.
- Scary Shiny Glasses: Scary shiny helmet goggles, in this instance.
- Sexy Santa Dress: Visarah wore one in the Christmas 2010 art.
- Shout-Out: Terry has a poster of Black Jack on her wall [1] [dead link]. Makes sense, since she's a doctor.
- Scenery Gorn: More common than the actual Gorn,
- Slasher Smile: Visarah, Vodimir and the creature from chapter one.
- The Immune: The Pale Knights are immune to the plague and apparently resistant to most other infections.
- The Medic: Terenya
- The Plague: There are plague "storms" ravaging the continent that mutate those caught in them.
- Thunderbolt Iron: The Orrery is a device designed to pull meteors out of space, allowing them to be mined for this.
- Unusual Ears: The mutant characters all have pointed ears, except for Vodimir who has none.
