Vinigortonio (here in English and here in original Portuguese) is a hand drawn webcomic about three friends: Vinicius, Igor and Jose Carlos (and Igor's pet platypus) and the craziness that is their lives. Random antics and video game references abound.

Unlike most webcomics which are updated with a single strip on a weekly basis, Vinigortonio updates monthly with full comic stories about 50 pages long more like a traditional comic.

Arcs thus far are

  • A Day: Igor goes to Vinicius's house. What can go wrong?
  • The Sewer: Vinicius and Jose Carlos decide to investigate exploding manholes and Igor finds a way to prove mammals lay eggs: PLATYPUS!
  • The Debt: Igor gets arrested for being unable to pay immense damage fines and while escaping gets into hot water with an island of intellegent alligators.
  • Natural Sciences: Exam stress gets to be too much for Vinicius.
  • The Rescue: The gang travels to the south pole to rescue Platypus from a helicopter accident and stumble across the evil Raichan and his plot to take over the world.
  • The Card: Raichan returns to seek revenge on our protagonists.
  • The Fan: Igor's air conditioner is compromised, so he buys a fan. Very normal, except not.
  • The Search: Vinicius wants to buy the Japan-exclusive Chibi Robo. Unfortunately, it won't be so easy.
  • Achievement Unlocked: Igor finds out a new way to earn achievements! But maybe he's going a bit too overboard...

Tropes used in Vinigortonio include:

Jose Carlos: I had no idea sewers were so large!!
Vinicius: You'd be surprised at how much they hide from us.

Igor: Use this convenient plot element!

    • Detective Oak breaks a text box in half with his fist.
  • Butt Monkey: Luck, reality and the laws of physics are definitely not on Igor's side. Case in point: he swithces the air conditioner on and causes a blizzard.
    • Also transfered to any character that he's playing in games as Sonic found out.
  • Call Back: For such a random comic they have a lot of continuity gags.
    • Igor getting Platypus in the second comic calls back to his stuborn belief that mammals lay eggs in the first one. In the eighth one his parents are trying to teach him otherwise.
  • Calling Your Attacks: PENDAAAAAAAANT!
  • The Cuckoolander Was Right: Jose constantly speculates that things are illusions. And he turns out to be right about the bomb.
  • Cooldown Hug: The one thing that can stop Vinicius's rampage Super Smash Bros Brawl
  • Cool Shades: Always have them on hand in case you run into a Matrix Bullet Time parody.
  • Cloning Piracy is Evil: Zig-zagged. Vinicius beats up an Alligator Mad-Scientist for cloning his Nintendo 3DS but has no qualms about Igor using the clone to pay off his ridiculously large debts.
  • Everything's Better with Platypi: Igor's pet platypus is the most competent and resourceful character of the cast. Perhaps besides from the mysterious Steven.
  • Facial Composite Failure: Platypus's sketch looks like a human with a Platypus beak.
  • Hand Wave: {in-universe} Max Adventura glazes over impossibilities in his stories as "minor details".
  • Haunted House: After buying an ancient Egyptian electric fan Igor's house is turned into one.
  • Hello, Insert Name Here: Parodied with AAAAAA the generic JRPG protagonist.
  • Here We Go Again: After going on an adventure to get Chibi-Robo! DS Vinicius can't find his DS
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick: Platypus to Igor. The little guy's loyalty is just about all Igor has going for him.
  • I Am the Trope: In a parody of Judge Dreas's famous line

Detective Oak: Now I am the laws of physics!

  • Iron Butt Monkey: Despite his luck (or lack thereof) Igor's worst injury only had his arm in a cast. He's survived being blown from the South Pole to Rio.
  • Made of Explodium: All of downtown Rio according to Igor.
  • Mass Hypnosis: Raichan pulls this off on the whole of Rio with his Need Cards minus our protagonists (all for different reasons)
  • Meaningful Name: Raichan is revealed to have electric powers in combat.
    • Also, Max Adventura is an adventurer.
  • One-Scene Wonder: Firefighter Andre Martins, who flies a space shuttle to help our heroes.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Platypus is able to infitrate the Police building with nothing more than a Police cap.
  • Scaley Confusion: To avoid getting headshot by Platypus's pendant attack a sentient alligator uses the Croc-o-style Sniper set... which is made from a skinned and decapitated crocodile... Best not think about it too hard.
  • Shout-Out: If Video Games aren't part of the plot they will be found everywhere as background jokes.
    • A rare non-game one happens in The Sewer when Vinicius sings the song from Titanic after the cruiser sinks.
  • Step Three: Profit: Raichan's evil scheme to take over the world hinges on destroying Igor's place of residence for some reason. Turns out it was built on the only known source of Raichanium.
  • Take Over the World: Raichan supposedly needs to destroy Igor's building to achieve his goal of world domination.
  • Thirteen Is Unlucky: Igor's appartment number. Lampshaded.

Max Adventura: Is this your home, young adventurer?
Igor: Look at the number. What do you think?

Igor: (after Carlos fired him out a mortar launcher) Why do I still talk to that guy...?
