We're still debating what the trope name will be... but I think that's the only stumbling block here.

GentlemensDame883 (talkcontribs)

No idea on the name, but otherwise looks good to me.

GethN7 (talkcontribs)

I'd go with "Instant Plastic Surgery". The IRL versIon takes time, The trope assumes it's quick and painless. Magic Plastic Surgery has a different premise, assuming that it takes time, but the result is often implausible. This trope is more along the lines of a more plausIble change, just done instantly

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

I like that. Seconding Geth's suggestion.

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Voting for Instant Plastic Surgery. Will that encompass the fantasy examples listed as well?

HeneryVII (talkcontribs)

Seems okay to me.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

I'll have to look later. @Looney Toons and I are (independently) preparing to go on vacation tomorrow or the day after, so we can't spare too much time for the wiki right now.

Robkelk (talkcontribs)

I see it's been launched while I was away. Looks good to me...

HLIAA14YOG (talkcontribs)

I'm going nowhere this July, so let me vote here and say to launch.

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Voting yes!

GentlemensDame883 (talkcontribs)

Still looks fine by me.

RivetVermin (talkcontribs)

With everybody back, and no objections, I'll try and get to this before the weekend :)

Utini501 (talkcontribs)

Late as I am, I'll throw in a "yes" for Instant Plastic Surgery!

Agiletek (talkcontribs)

Current title implies a mirror with the effect (not helped by a decent number of examples that are literal mirrors). Perhaps "Spell of Plastic Surgery"?

Jlaw (talkcontribs)

Or "Plastic Surgery Sorcery?"

Lequinni (talkcontribs)

I have no problem with the current title, but of the proposed ones I prefer "Spell of Plastic Surgery" because it plays with the title of its sibling trope "Magical Plastic Surgery"

RivetVermin (talkcontribs)

I did choose the title as mirrors are disproportionally used for this trope, and the full title was intended to be read as an artefact name (e.g. Pick of Destiny) as again, the affect is usually provided by an artefact and/or device.

That said, if that is too leading/confusing, I think "Plastic Surgery Sorcery" is the better of the alternatives, as not all examples are Spells. But if anyone can can up with a better name, I'm all for it.
