Ryner Lute
(Real name: Feruna Lieutolu)
- Voice Actor: Jun Fukuyama (JP), Ian Sinclair (EN)
The main character of the story. He looks like a lazy guy, but is actually the strongest magician in his country. He is going on a journey to search for Heroes' Relic by Sion's order.
- An Offer You Can't Refuse: Find the heroes' relics or get executed.

- Break the Cutie: His childhood.
- Brilliant but Lazy: Manages to create a flawless magic barrier to prevent sleep disturbance.
- Butt Monkey
- Combat Pragmatist: Doesn't hesitate to go for a Groin Attack in one fight. He didn't actually hit it, but it's the thought that counts.
- Enemy Within: Both subverted and played straight. The three inhabitants of his mind are 1. an Eldritch Abomination bent on destruction, 2. the Solver of All Equations, who may be even more of an Eldritch Abomination but is a nice guy.....and 3. his mother. They all get taken care of.
- Idiot Hair
- Instant Expert: Justified. Can learn any magic instantly using his Alpha Stigma.
- Laser-Guided Amnesia: Can't remember the first five years of his life.
- Not So Weak: Won't fight back at the academy and has a reputation for both laziness and incompetence, but when Sion and Kiefer are about to be killed by the magic knights... well, you can't say they learned not to taunt and abuse captives like that.
- Obfuscating Stupidity: Being an Alpha Stigma bearer, he can analyze all magic with just one look. But because of not wanting anyone to know that he's one, he just prefers to get hit directly with Kiefer's magic.
- Omnicidal Maniac: Whenever the Alpha Stigma goes active, it attempts to destroy everything. It's pretty good at it, too.

The King of Roland. He was once in the same school as Ryner and Kiefer. He is now working hard to rebuild his country that has been corrupted by the nobles. He has Lucille as his bodyguard. He's actually the vessel of The Mad Hero, Roland's first King and constantly in danger of being berserk.

Sion's bodyguard. The head of the distinguished sword clan of Eris and Ferris and Iris' older brother. He killed his parents to save Ferris and become the head. Due to his contract with thousand of demons, he currently cannot step foot outside of Roland.
